Nearly all of us are using devices in our lives, to do everything from going shopping online, to keeping up with our loved ones, and to using the internet for career development and job interviewing. There is almost nothing we can’t do in “reality” then we can’t now do some form of, online. While most of us enjoy the convenience of online usage, we must educate ourselves to be wary of the ways our information is stored and used online. Most people do not understand the sheer costs of creating a safe Internet experience. There are costs for personnel, and the latest security and software, with any system we use. These costs can greatly impact someone’s internet browsing experience. Most people expect Wi-Fi to come freely or cheaply these days. Peter Mell and Time Grance’s piece, "The NIST Definition of Cloud Computing,” explains that with the Cloud has come a more efficient way for us to store and share data; however, it has also lead us to a lot of security breaches. To put it in laypeople terms, the cloud is the connection of all of the functions of our applications, connected to each of our multiple devices. It can be very easy to get scammed or taken advantage of through cloud computing, because if someone gets a hold of one of our devices (say, an iPhone, for example) they can literally destroy us by tapping in to every single application we store data
