When you need motivation, who do you look too? When I need motivation I look to my family. They are my back bone and light in a storm of darkness. There are a list of things or people who I gather motivation from some are my family, which being my mom, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, as well as extended family. I am the person I am today through watching their own, failures and successes. I couldn’t imagine life without my family, we may not have wealth or an abundance of resources, but what we do have is an abundance of love and support. I don’t call him my step brother thou, he is and will always be my brother. Damon and I meet about three years ago. We are brothers because his mom and my dad got married. My father and I don’t have the best relationship; it’s a very competitive and unhealthy relationship. When we meet, we hit it off right away, which is kind of weird because I am five years older than he is, but he is about seven inches taller than me. We had a lot of common interest in sports and outside life. In our respective schools, we were both very popular and everyone loved us. We grow apart for some reason I didn’t quite understand, and I thought it was because he was the only child. It was later revealed to me that my dad was talking about me negatively to my brother and this was due to his unflattering lies. About a month later I receive a very random text from my brother, saying sorry and the way he was acting ways completely uncalled for. This showed me that in life you will have up’s as well as down’s but the people in your corner are there to show you your strength.
