“Briana told me how you guys were in cahoots with one another on Saturday,” Ariana huffed in class on Monday. “No wonder I came in last place during every game we played.”
Shouldn’t have been talking smack when you were up in Candy Land. And I really need to teach LB to keep her mouth close when regarding cheating. “I don’t see the problem with pairing up to defeat a common foe,” I shrugged. “And you still gotta do that thing we all betted on.”
“I’m not your foe and I’m feel like I shouldn’t be required to do it because you cheated. It was supposed to be every man, woman and girl for themselves and you two broke the rules.”
“Everyone breaks the rules from time to time, so I felt that day was the day I should cash mine in.”
“You don’t get a free break the rules ticket in real life. And even if you did you’ll never see me using it.”
“That’s exactly why I didn’t ask you.”
“Ask me what?”

“But you cheated!”
Man she’s getting annoying. “Look, you lost, so accept your faith.”
“But I don’t wanna do the thing.”
“Shouldn’t have lost.”

... your leg, is there?” she asked with a dead serious face.
Now I have to act as if there’s nothing wrong with me. And I was playing it so smoothly. “Good job rock climbing bubby,” I clapped. “I was testing to see if you could tell how severely hurt your partner was and looks as if I couldn’t fool you.”
She helped me up off the ground and shook her head. “Trying to use the oldest trick in the book to avoid racing me. I never took you for one of those types, but I’m still learning about you, so I should’ve at least expected it in the back of my mind.”
“You’re talking pretty big girl.”
“Sorry if I’m offending you, but the words and you’re speaking and your willingness to actually compete against me doesn’t match up,” she smirked, walking back over to the wall. “But I shouldn’t be questioning the competitive spirit of Mr. Professional-Who-Needs-No-Lessons now should I?”
