Everyone has seen someone who went to college work hard and become very successful in their career. However, people do not have to go to college in order to be great at what they do, or even get a job. Attending a big university to get a bachelor’s degree will not always guarantee that someone will get the job they were hoping for. Plus, a lot of the time, college students are more into socializing than actually doing their studies. Going to college would be wasting students’ time and money if he or she are attending more social events rather than focusing on their academics. The time and money put into getting a college education, is almost never fully recovered; as students are left with little information retained and more money in debt than they will be able to make with their starting salaries.
College is not worth it if students are using up their time and money in the wrong ways. College students spend more time at parties than working on their studies. In the documentary Ivory Tower, director, Andrew Rossi includes that 68 percent of university students fail and drop out of college because they are not focusing on their school work. People often use up too much of the time and money they don’t have to go to party’s, and end up not getting their work done. With the freedom college gives students, it is hard for them to make the right decisions. Most of the time, students attending school are still too young to handle the responsibility that comes along with away to school. For college student, parties are the place to be. College is not worth it if students are going to focus more on parties, rather than their studies.

If people go to college, there is no time to wait, it is always rushed. Plus, when people do not go to college, they are able to take as much time as they need to experiment different options, and they save their money, rather than someone who is attending school.
People do not have to attend college in order to have a successful life. College causes a large number of students to have debt that will take a lot of time to pay off. As time goes on, jobs open up for people that do not attend college, and they can become very successful in what they do. College is not worth it for many people because of how demanding it is. For many people, continuing their education could be a negative thing.
