Why and How Arab Spring Became Successful ?

The progress of Tunisian Revolution started with a police officer’s knocking

Fadiye Hamdi and seizing his bench and then Muhammed Buazizi, who is an

Tunisian young man, burning himself and die in the hospital. The groups that

attended to the funeral of Buazizi protested the regime and Zeynel Abidin, who

stayed inefficient to had to resign after the many deaths resulted from conflict.

Zeynel Abidin’s leaving the country caused the first flames of Arab Spring,

which caused a striking exchange progress of the governments and Tunis

became the first country suffering from that. During this first exchange period,

the head of old council (Muhammed Gannusi) became the temporary president

of Tunis. However, The adversative people rebelled as the new president was

pretty close to the previous one and it was thought that Muhammed Gannusi

would keep up the previous regime. as a result of that rebellion, Gannusi left the

country. Next, the decision of Creator Counsel re-election was taken on 24

October 2011. On 10th of May, enactment for that election was verified. Following

that, on the first day of October, 11 thousands candidates started to challenge to

get 217 chairs in the council.

The council to be chosen would identify the destiny of the country because of

the wide authorities that it holds. The founder Council became the responsible of

organizing the new Constitution Law instead of the previous one and determined

the new government. There had been 7 parties before the revolution and the

number raised over hundred after it. Depending on their qualifications, parties

given on 11 May. Being a permanent member of United Nations Security Council,

Russia clearly stated that she would use all her power to refuse the decision. As a

reason, Russia stated that the situation doesn’t threat international peace and

security and things going on there had something to do with internal affairs.

To sum up, Syria has been facing with a serious confliction and it seems like

she is in dead-end. There are mainly three reasons for Arab Spring’s being able

to be successful in other countries and not being in Syria: Syria’s leader is much

more arrogant and resistant, there are strong supporters of Esed, no real

interference has been conducted by international organizations. It has been

three years since the conflict has started and it seems like there will be many

other three difficult years waiting for Syria.
