White supremacy and white privilege have existed for decades, because people have a mindset that one race is better than another. Both are associated with Whites, because years ago and today they are still seen as the dominant group in society, so they often have privileges that are based off the color of their skin. For instance, better career opportunities, better homes, more education opportunities, and more resourcs. In other words, Whites have more benefits, because of their race. Therefore, white privilege and white supremacy are similar, because they both allow races to believe they are superior to others based on their power, resources, and opportunities they can access based on their skin color.

White privileges allows Whites to do things and not have to give explanations or be questions for their actions, because of their skin color. White supremacist allows White to use their power to access resources and connections that will help in any situation. For instance, I recently went to a store in a predominantly white area, and I saw a White man put his fist in an African American woman face as if he was going to hit her. They were both associates at the store, they were both yelling, they were both cursing at each other, however only the African American woman was asked to leave the store. She was standing outside, while the man was still inside and able to finish his shift. This experience, shows how Whites are superior because of white privilege and white supremacy. In other words, his race made him superior, because was able to continue working and people asked if he wanted to call authorities. However, the African American woman had to call authorities herself and she was not allowed back in the store. White privilege and white supremacy played a role in the situation, because his race gave him a privilege that he would not have had if his skin was another color. Namely, if he was an African American male bawling his fist in a White woman face he would have been escorted off the premises, he would most likely be arrested by officers using unnecessary force, and ultimately lose his job. This experience, shows how white privilege, white supremacy, discrimination and prejudice are still present.
