It was a gloomy tempestuous night. I was running away from something but I wasn’t sure what I was running away from. I scampered with exhaustion as the forest closed on me like a pair of jaws. I also had no idea where I was. My eyesight was distorted by the troubling unavoidable mist. I noticed that a small black figure with great yellowish green eyes had passed through my path which caused me to trip over a branch and fall to the ground with a “THUD!”
I started to regain my consciousness as the mist gradually cleared away. Once again regaining my perception I tilted my head sideways, downwards and behind, cautiously checking my surroundings. There was nothing there except for the slender trees. I looked back down at the dark filthy ground and realised there was a bright yellow light at the top right corner of my eye. I moved my head to the point where I could clearly see the light which was a reflection. I followed the light which slowly led up to a small pathway that seemed to get higher and higher as I kept looking. My eyes followed up to the pathway which led to a towering colossal mansion that set eyes on me. My heart skipped a beat as I thought it was alive for a moment. It was as though the mansion was staring at me, hungrily with its yellow eerie eyes, I thought it was just my imagination. I felt uneasy but relieved at the same time. Uneasy as my heart throbbed, pounding me down to the wet mud beneath me. Relieved since I could smell a powerful but mouth-watering odour from the mansion which certainly smelt like roasted chicken. I slowly felt my mouth dripping with saliva. I brushed the saliva away with my muddy arms. It was then that my dormant hunger inside of me had awoken. I was famished and had the lust for food. I i...

...rt was living on a string and blood squirted out from it. My arms broke in two and only my face was still there. I was starting to think this was all an illusion but it wasn’t…
I screamed in pain to myself as my lungs were broken. Nobody could hear me. I was all alone. The monster burst out with evil laughter without a care in the world. I could still feel pain which was unusual as everything single cell except my face had broken down. Was I even alive? I thought I looked even scarier than the monster itself. He came ever closer. He was right in front of me now. He slowly opened his mouth which started to keep on getting wider. I started to see things inside his mouth that I didn’t have words to describe. My skeleton trembled vigorously and broke into pieces. I reluctantly gave myself away as I could then only think of one word that could describe this sight…HELL!
The night was tempestuous and my emotions were subtle, like the flame upon a torch. They blew out at the same time that my sense of tranquility dispersed, as if the winds had simply come and gone. The shrill scream of a young girl ricocheted off the walls and for a few brief seconds, it was the only sound that I could hear. It was then that the waves of turmoil commenced to crash upon me. It seemed as though every last one of my senses were succumbed to disperse from my reach completely. As everything blurred, I could just barely make out the slam of a door from somewhere alongside me and soon, the only thing that was left in its place was an ominous silence.
I didn’t know where exactly I was going. But I didn’t care. I walked aimlessly in search of shelter, a place where I could seek refuge. Hours went by, and I was losing hope. When out of the corner of my eye, through the distant, dense foliage. I noticed what could have been salvation. I was fatigued and in a feeble state, was I hallucinating? Or was this real? I stumbled through the valley, my eyes fixated on the dwelling ahead. Much to my delight it was very real. I arrived at the cabin and surveyed the surroundings. The shack itself was isolated, old and tattered, as if unattended to for an eternity. I knocked on the door, and suddenly became overwhelmed by a supernatural feeling. I could hear frantic rumbling and murmuring inside, evidently the occupant wasn’t expecting a visitor. I waited a while longer, and finally the door creaked open and I was greeted by three of the utmost repulsive looking creatures I had ever had the displeasure of laying my eyes on. As disgusted as I was, I was in no position to turn away, I needed their help. They welcomed me into their abode and provided me with nourishment and directions on how to return
I broke away from the man’s grasp, scraping my arm upon his sharp beard and watching my feet take turns hitting the ground as the distance between he and myself grew greater. Scout’s hand was no longer in mine and I crawled frantically on the ground before I felt her ham costume. I pulled her to her feet but was thrust backwards slipping from her grasp again. I felt an agonising pain, shoot through my left arm that was accompanied by an ear-piercing CRACK. My head smashed into a tree root and the night faded even further to black. The next few moments felt like mere seconds. Slipping in and out of consciousness, I identified the silhouette of a lanky man. He freed Scout from the clutches of our attacker and thrust a knife between the man’s ribs, sending him collapsing lifelessly to the
I was thrown at the door and my heard a crunch to my right, but felt no pain because my whole body was numb to death. I tried to grab something I couldn’t move. I told myself calm down, calm down, calm down but my body and brain were frozen.
Long, wide roads, small houses, steel fences, tall palm trees, a black Toyota parked at a yellow colored house, an abandon house, which looked like it was hunted, the front door was open and you can see from afar that inside there is nothing but darkness. The house was surrounded by trees and it was secluded from all the other houses around it. These were my view as I walked into an unfamiliar building called Thomas Jefferson Middle School. As I opened the blue wooden door and walked in the building, a tremendous chill came over me, which I have never felt before. The building was very cold; I started shivering as I was walking in. It was old and was not well cared for. The colors of the walls were faded and the elevators made the sound of
The voices in my head become a swelling crescendo. I forcefully grab my head in between my hands as the words echo through my skull. Pain pulsates with every word. I squeeze my temples hard with my palms but the pain is unbearable. Clawing at my face, a scream rips through me; sapping every last drop of energy in my body. Like a rag doll, I collapse onto the cold concrete floor as a growing darkness overcomes me.
It was exactly 4 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days before I had seen my creature again. This time he well, almost hopeful. His face plastered with peace, was worse the closer he got. “Victor, I know you have wished never to see me again, but I would like for you to make Hazel and I children” he stated in a less creaky and more mellow. This must have been because he had gotten used to speach, I thought to myself. “ Who is this Hazel, I shall never create another monster like the pair I’ve already. With hearing this the monster’s face turned grave and he walked off, almost stomping like a toddler. Only when he turned back towards me did I see the grin he plastered on the pale, scar covered face of his. Scared of his intentions I followed him through the dark dense forest for miles. It had seemed like hours before he had come upon a small house on a hill. I hid at the edge of the forest, waiting to the what the horrid creature would do next. I watched for a quarter
A crisp uneasiness floated amongst the breeze, taking my attention and turning it to the shadow of a figure lingering on the steps to my neighbors entrance. For a moment I believed that my eyes had deceived me, that a phantom had played tricks with my mind. But as the outline disappeared, stealing with it any doubt I may have held, my head felt dizzy. My heart beat so loud I was sure he could hear it as I ran across the lawn. My heart sinking with each step, knowing it was a trick.
Between the times that I had felt the monster’s claws on my back to reliving my short life, the monster had moved in front of me. Just staring out in front of me, I couldn’t see his face. I had had to look up and crane my neck to see his face. In doing this, my eyes glazed over a muscular chest covered in hair and scar tissue. This thing had received crude stiches for its’ wounds. Its’ neck was covered in the same scar tissue. With a large scar starting at the base of it’s neck and continuing to the cheek of a goat’s head. A scream had ripped through my throat at the horrifying sight. This creature was not human.
I had this feeling that someone was watching me. I creaked my head back just a tiny bit and I saw this little yellow creature flying. I quickly turned my head away. Whatever was watching me was obviously evil.
It was a beautiful night. It was perfect for a walk. As I strolled further into the park a figure approached me. It was as dark as pitch so I couldn’t make out who it was. It was late; you wouldn’t usually see anyone at this time. My heart was beating faster and faster. The strange thing was I wasn’t frightened; it was just my heart beating rapidly. As the masculine figure approached, I began to walk slower. That was when I heard the voice.
I awake to lukewarm water dripping down my forehead from a damp towel. I feel a thick liquid against my back. I scan the area, Unfamiliar. I find myself lying in a cot in a filthy room. The sight room itself was depressing, not that it was in extremely bad conditions but it was all…brown, the kind of brown that makes you feel depressed. It reeked of fish and motor oil, one of the queerest combinations of scents I have encountered. My ears start to pick up the deep monotones of a man speaking in other room. In my drowsy state I couldn’t make out exactly what he said but I did manage to g...
Every time I sat on that chair I closed my eyes. I was not brave enough to see that ugly monster doing his bloody game on me. When you see this monster, you would be scared from him too. his appearance was not good, nor has the room. Every time he entered the room he had to bend, so he could enter. Even his head had strange things. For instance, his lips were strange. When you see them, you would be able to know the definition of darkness. I even thought he ate cigarettes not smoked them .
My hand shaking at every thought, a cold shiver ran down my spine as cold sweat trickled down the side of my forehead. I lifted my hand up and a strong smell hit my nose, it was the smell of blood. I lifted the object and shock hit me like lightening, fear displaced my sadness, sickness changed my bloodstream from blood to a thick liquid pus and vomit. I held the muscle with my right hand as my left hand was paralysed with shock. The adrenaline shot me forcing me to move but shock shattered me into thin slices that were impossible to put back again.
I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me, but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. At least I had hoped that I was.
