Some words or phrases that I have found in describing entrees that refers to taste, texture, and other features that contribute to dining please are “melt in your mouth,” “unsurpassed,” “perfection,” “they are to die for,” “king of steaks,” “full flavor,” “tangy,” “accented,” “with your choice,” “served with,” “savory,” “rich,” “gourmet,” “golden brown,” “hearty,” “tender,” and “seasoned.”

The power of these terms in the advertising of goods in a menu is absolutely necessary. It is important for customers to get the idea of satisfaction and enjoyability in their minds to entice them to order a certain dish. Adjectives, or these describing words, has the ability to boost the power in your sentence. These types of words make the items in the menu much more appealing, mouthwatering, fabulous, and unique. Language, and the way you use it, will always affect the way you put your message forward. Using words that appeal to everyone is very important in making your product recognized.

Some examples of language used in describing entrees that emphasizes health values include “nutritional,” “organic,” “fresh,” “Health Check,” and “low-fat.”

The importance of these words in menus is to appeal to today's better fit society. People, in these days, are trying to maintain or build that “perfect” body image and some want to work on their diets. Words like these present in menus reassures someone that eating out does not have to mean extra calories. As stated above, language, and the way you use it...

As a result of completing this activity, I have realized that doing this Chapter on an empty stomach has been extremely difficult. Besides that, I have learned that emphasis on word choice is very important in terms of appealing to other people. Language and meanings will have a big effect on the message that you are trying to convey. It is important to understand that everyone has different meanings for words and language. It is a good idea to thoroughly explain what you are trying to say so that no message will be misinterpreted. The success and power of an individual communicator depends on great language skills. Humans have the advantage of using language to communicate and we should take advantage of this by using it to the best of our ability. We should always try to educate ourselves more to improve our language skills.
