For as long as i can remember i have always wanted to work with people. Just the thought of helping others would bring a smile to my face. I first realized i wanted to be a teacher when i decided that i didn 't like school. Although that may sound contradictory, i swear it 's not. I want to be a teacher because i want kids to actually enjoy class time and learning as it is essential to further success. I think i’d be a good teacher because people are constantly telling me that i am very outgoing and bubbly and that i am empathetic. I have also been told that i’m kind and patient. The majority of the careers that fit my personality type involve offering my assistance to people by being naturally inquisitive and using my mental problem-solving skills without having to abide by a specified set of rules and regulations. A few examples of these careers are public relations, counselling, psychology and teaching. These occupations are favorable for people like me because they respect my strengths while minimizing my weaknesses. As a result of my personality traits, i have great intrapersonal skills and i like to support others without having to meet exact deadlines or be scrutinized in the way i do things and why. The careers that match these preferences don 't surprise me much because i have considered them as potential future jobs a number of times. Social sciences are based on the study of social systems, social institutions, social behavior and social relationships. This major supports these careers because it is about how the world works and operates and why people are the way they are. A major in social sciences is important for my personality type because people with this type of major end up having a very wide and colorful variety of alluring and high paying job opportunities that are open to them, often including positions which demand those who are socially inclined and people oriented.
