There are many aspects of school that can be quite satisfying and enjoyable; whereas, there are other elements that can be quite dissatisfying or disappointing. More often, I find that there are more satisfying and enjoyable experiences in school that make up for the bad ones. When I receive good grades, I feel satisfied because my hard work and effort has paid off. I also see good grades as the pathway to completing my business degree. I derive great satisfaction from good class discussions and people who respect my thoughts. It is very gratifying when a person can gain greater insight into a particular subject through engagement in class. The only resolution is to talk to the teacher about the specific concern. If they fail to resolve this problem, then the next step would be to speak with his or her superior and explain the issue to them. Eventually, someone is going to get through to that instructor and explain why favoring students is unacceptable. This method seems like it would be the best way to decrease dissatisfaction in a classroom where favoritism exists. When a teacher gives a bad grade in return for great effort it feels as though they did not acknowledge the time spent on the assignment. This can leave a person feeling very discouraged and dissatisfied with their own work. In order to decrease dissatisfaction, it would be useful for the instructor to explain via feedback what was done wrong on the assignment and how to correct it. A bad grade by itself does not teach a student anything to help them grow but instead it can discourage or upset them in many cases. There are instances where a bad grade may be a wake-up call to take education seriously, but in this situation constructive criticism should be given in return.

Having to work up to a deadline, conducting research, and collaborating with peers for group projects are all necessary tasks in the "real world". It is true that success can be achieved without school, but school is only one of the many pathways an individual can choose in order to become educated. School provides students with the ability to strive in the real word by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. When asked what I am studying for, I can say that I am studying to become someone who can make a difference. I may not enjoy the stress and anxiety that comes with school, but I cherish the fact that school is providing me with the knowledge and skills I need to further my dreams.
The issue I alluded to during our conversation does not simply deal with one assignment. It is an issue I've experienced multiple times throughout high school and is most egregious in your class. This issue is the fact that different students are graded differently based on some arbitrary measure. When a teacher grades each student's assignment to a different standard, it devalues the work of the students.

School is a huge representation of one’s character and work ethic. I think it shows a lot about a person when they put effort into their school work and grades, because it reflects how hard they are willing to work for their goals and aspirations. At the outset of the selected topic concerning Motivation and Satisfaction, it is imperative to clarify and elucidate what both these terms – Motivation; and Satisfaction– actually mean and connote in the psychological framework.
Based on my definition of success and the steps I have taken to achieve success, I am a successful student. Being a successful student, I understand that a great deal of effort and dedication contributes towards having a rewarding outcome. It is also understandable that students must make many sacrifices in order to gain satisfactory results; connecting with others and maintaining a social life adds onto attaining success. For instance, there was a moment before winter break where I became extremely overwhelmed by all the assignments, and the only thing that relieved me from having a nervous breakdown was to unwind with my friends and discuss my problems. There were also many other times that I was stressed and lost sleep over completing assignments to the point of perfection, but eventually I noticed the importance of being a well-rounded student through socializing. I realized that a balanced lifestyle helped me achieve my objective while also relishing on other attributes. Being able to adapt to different things permitted me to focus on academics while taking account of my personal struggles; this allowed me to get contentment with myself and those around me. The most fulfilling or rewarding experience I have had as a college student here at USC has simply been having the opportunity to be surrounded by motivated students, professors, and advisors that have encouraged me to expand my horizons and better myself. Without the Honors College, I would have never met and bonded with my current roommates or any of my other college friends, who push me to try new things and work harder every day. The Honors classes I have been enrolled in have provided me with the opportunity to interact with students who are passionate about what they are studying. Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a senior.
The ability to experience and express emotions can be a long process. Everyone starts experiencing emotions pretty much from the day of birth; as a person grows up with their family every single day they become more experienced and have more emotions that can help create and form their lifestyle. One of the biggest problems with education is that it is poisoned in the way people view school. Some common phrases among students are that ?school is boring; school is work.? Theses attitudes have a direct effect on the effort that students put into their studies. One will obviously work harder when they aren?t bored with the task. There is a difference between hearing and listening and if students approach school as something that they see as boring and stressful than that student will only be hearing what the professor is saying. They may show up to class but this does not mean that they are necessarily there to learn. If school were fun than students would enjoy learning and thus, would learn more since it would be an enjoyable activity. School is just like a sport or a book in that if the book is well written and enjoyable than there is more incentive to read it, just as someone will put more effort into a sport that is fun than a sport they don?t enjoy. If school were fun, than students would strive to learn more.
I always wanted to get good grades and challenged myself which help me get in the honor role in my two years in row, but that doesn't mean I am a perfect student. As, student going to high school can boost my confidence in the classroom and help improve my average writing skills. In Middle School, I was a part of clubs such as NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) and Service Learning, and being member of these clubs I become a well shape student overall by being optimistic and enthusiasm about school and I was given the opportunity to change the culture of my school and the community. When I am not doing school work, I enjoy playing sports, especially football, so by going to high school I can continue where I left off. Being a student with right mind set, transitioning to high school won’t be I hard, but I know I will have new challenges I have to overcome and long lasting experiences which will get me ready for life.
I believe that happiness is the key to living a good and prosperous life. Through all of the sadness and hate in the world, happiness gives me hope. It gives not only me, but others hope and joy. Happiness gives us something to hold onto, therefore we cherish it as much as we can.
In America everyone has the right to a free public education. States set standards for schools in an attempt at ensuring all students get the same quality education. No matter how many standards are set, students will not have equal schooling. Schooling is larger then the lessons taught in the classroom. Each student’s school experience is different, not only because of the quality of their education but because of things like school location, demographic, teachers, participation, and other person experiences. My school experience has helped define me as a person and has helped guide me through life.
Having explained the reason most children have become disheartened at the thought of school, I now turn my attention to the students who do realize school’s educational value. These are the students that will continue to prosper throughout their lives because they realize the extreme importance of education. If I owned my own school, it would reflect on all the positive features that my elementary and secondary schools offered me.
