Suicide is the 11th leading cause of deaths in the world. It can happen to or be committed by anyone but usually occurs when a person feels depressed or worthless or is facing an exorbitant amount of problems. Fatal suicidal attempts are usually overestimated, because in most cases suicide attempts do not result in death or serious injury. In most cases suicide attempts result in failure or minor injury. Which means that failed or not resulting in death suicide attempts are recorded in the deaths by suicide statistics. Suicides are still very common, they occur about once every 40 seconds in the world. When dealing with suicide you must know its statistics, its causes, and its prevention.
What is suicide? When does it happen? How many people are affected by it? Are some questions about suicide that may appear into your mind whenever suicide is mentioned. Many people often don’t realize why others attempt suicide or even exactly what suicide is. “The main risk factors for suicide are
A prior Suicide attempt
Family history of suicide
Family violence, including physical or sexual abuse
Being in prison or jail
Having firearms in the home
Being exposed to others’ suicidal behavior.”( Suicide In America )
Since these can happen at any time so can suicide if a person is exposed to any of the listed behavior. “The risk for suicide is also associated... with depression” or your countries problems that affect you. What this means is that People with too many problems they can’t handle, don’t know how to handle or get to often are prone to self inflicted harm even it it doesn’t result in death. This shows that anyone who has ever experienced any problems could technically be at risk of suicide.
