Everyone definitely has their own inspirational person, who can be their motivation and inspiration to achieve their life’s goals. In addition, the story of those inspirational people can also become the example for other people to determine what should they do in the future, in order to achieve their goals as successful as their idols. Even though there are a lot of inspirational people who have been recognized internationally, yet there is only one person that has inspired me, who comes from my home country. His name is Chairul Tanjung, who is famous as a successful businessman and owner of many big companies. Chairul Tanjung was born in a financially stable family, until his father, who used to be a journalist for his own newspaper business, had to close his business and suffer from poverty. Yet, it does not make chairul tanjung be give up on his in life and start to get money for himself to complete his college by selling some stuffs on his campus, such as t-shirt, text book, pencil, and even business copy on campus. Even though his business has ups and downs, but luckily he can get enough profit to support his college needs. By having the money that he got from his business, in 1987, he and his three other colleagues opened a business, which called PT Pariarti Shindutama to produce kids shoes to be exported (Sihabuddin, 2013). Although this business runs well, the vision differences force them to be split up and make Chairul Tanjung has to open his owned business. Chairul Tanjung has made a lot of changes for the growth of Indonesian economy from the businesses that he has established, such as business in entertainment, bank, property, and lifestyle. It is because by his confidence to open some business, he has created a lot of job opportunities for the Indonesian people. In fact, he has given a chance for more than 75,000 people in Indonesia to get a job (Sirno, 2015). As a result, the Indonesian’s welfare has increasing and gives them a better life above the poverty line. Another contribution that he has done is by developing any local businesses to the international market by cooperating them with the other multinational companies. Every piece of me has seemed to come from an inspirational woman who has somehow graced my life. Whether for a second or for a decade, they have made imprints on my soul. To limit myself to describe the one person who has given me the most inspiration would be virtually unfeasible. I am a collage of influence and choice made by those with whom I have interacted.
Often times, I can’t help but wonder what my life would be like if I haven’t been exposed to the world of business; a wonderful career that changed my life completely. I have taken interest in business career because I love calculating numbers and interacting with people; But most importantly, my fascination in business came from my grandfather. He taught me many valuable tips on how to be a successful person, and most certainly how to run a business. He was not only a successful businessman, but also a respected individual. One of the businesses that he owned was a company called “Wu Long Tea Factory”. The main thing that they produce is tea of course, but they also have products such as cakes, candies, and all kinds of stuff. By being the production manager’s assistant of this company, I was able to experience everything that was going on in the factory. Even though that was the background I grew up in, my biggest fascination wasn’t in being a manager in a factory; it was the finance part that got me all excited. Often times I can even see myself sitting in my office and work on clients’ financial profiles and statements. I also took extra math classes and participated in many of the competitions in order to prepare myself to succeed in this particular field. Other things that I also did to get me well prepared are joining school activities, applying internships, and having jobs. I believe that all my hard work will pay off, when I see myself as a successful businessman.

In conclusion, during the time I worked at House of Zog I learn the basic ideas of a business. Based on observations I obtain in-depth information about the important fundamentals that drive a business to success. My goal is to receive a degree in business administration and be successful when having a business of my own. I am studying business, learning how business works, it’s a priority I keep in my mind. It’s a long term goal to obtain my sixty units transfer to a four-year university and earn a degree in business. From my experience I’ve learn an important value, you can only learn from failure. 1. WHY? Develop your "why". As an entrepreneur, not all times you have in business will be perfect. In fact, there will be many, many difficulties along the way. However, if you can develop your why, you can achieve success. Your why must be this personal, passionate, emotional drive that keeps you going, when the world tells you to give up. It is the reason you commit and work so hard. Pushing on when it seems all the odds and world is against you. Your "why" becomes your driving will to wake up and do it again tomorrow.
