What is air pollution?
In recent years the demand for electricity such as thermal power, iron and steel etc has increased rapidly, but with this demand also comes the problem of air pollution. Air pollution is the presence of a chemical or a substance which is harmful or has a poisonous effect introduced into the air. Whereas, Toxic air pollutants, also known as hazardous air pollutants, are pollutants that cause cancer and other serious health effects such as asthma, damage to the immune system, and environmental effects. Not only does air pollution harm people directly, some pollution can be exposed to animals, and later brought into the immune system of people through eating the meat butchered from the animal.
More air toxics come from human-made resources such as driving an automobile, and secondary sources such as the power plant. Some air pollution are caused by natural sources such as volcanic eruptions and forest fires. With natural resources releasing pollution already, it is a crucial thing that we did the little bit as possible to help clear the air in which we breathe in.
History of the problem:
People are exposed to toxic air pollution in many ways such as breathing in contaminated air, eating food that is contaminated, this is caused by food coming from animals that feed on plants that the soil was contaminated on which air toxics have been deposited, and drinking water contaminated by toxic air pollutants. All these ways humans may not even realize that they are contaminated or that the food products they are eating is contaminated. Once toxic air pollutants enter the body, some toxic air pollutants accumulate in the body tissue causes a very harmful effect on people.

...t sell electricity produce more hazardous air pollution in the U.S than any other industrial pollution (last source), then something else needs to be done then what is being done. Not only are scientist doing their part to find ways to help reduce the air toxic, people should also do their part.
Air pollution cannot 100% disappear with the coal-fired power plants producing electricity for the world, but many people can step up and stop using so much energy and electricity. Many acts are set in place to reduce the amount of toxic air pollutants being released, but if people still use a lot of electricity in their everyday lives the power plants will have to produce more and more electricity which will lead to the same amount of pollution released. So until people realize there is a huge problem occurring, I do not believe this problem will be reduced or fixed.

The Pollution Of Air Pollution Essay

- The detriment of air pollution is that it has far reaching consequences and most often is misplaced long distances by the wind. This can be attributed to higher power plant pipes that transport pollutants above a local community contribute to carrying pollutants sometimes thousands of miles away by wind. This can be particularly true in downwind states, where emissions from industrial boilers and power plants contribute to smog, haze, and air pollution hundreds of miles away (EPA, 2014) ....   [tags: Air pollution, Smog]
