1 INTRODUCTION
Tablet computer is a mobile computer with a display, circuitry and battery in one single unit. Tablets can be seen as a bigger version of mobiles, since they are equipped with cameras, microphone, accelerometer and touchscreen in which you can use stylus pen replacing computers mouse and keyboard. Tablets can be carried around in a pocket or a bag where desktop computers are stable and cannot be picked up and carried around.
Tablets are great way of doing business on the road, for example, if you are in a bus or a plane, it is easier to bring out your tablet than your computer. Tablet is mostly for travelling and using it to certain limit. If you only have a touchscreen in your head typing will not be as easy as it would be on a keyboard, but there are possibilities to add-on a keyboard if needed.
2 WHAT IS TABLET
Computers in general were discovered in the 1970’s, from then onwards the software and casing for this gone smaller and smaller. [1] First there was a desktop computer which followed with a laptop and nowadays tablet has become even more popular. Tablet computer is easily comparable to desktop computer and to a laptop; all of them designed for the same reason and purpose in mind.

Tablet is compact software which can be described as a small laptop. 4 CONCLUSION
The possibility of tables becoming even more famous in the near future is plausible, since the use of it is getting easier and more fashionable. When comparing a desktop, laptop, smartphone and tablet, tablet could be the most user friendly device in today’s life. There are many possibilities for a tablet to go for and because of the applications that can be downloaded and used with a tablet; it is even more appearing to younger people. For business people the use for a tablet might be even greater; having the possibility to work in a small space with a proper device might make it a big hit with companies.
I am a current student of Thompson Rivers University and I would like to have a device that would easily provide me with accessible data and personal files, as there is a lack of available computers in the computer laboratories. This need has prompted me to the idea to buy a tablet. Many factors would convince me to purchase a particular model/brand, such as: national/religion and geographical environment, social status, and age. My interest to a modern device is a result of the upbringing in a modern society, with achievements in the field of electronic equipment and attendant skills of a consumer and corresponding set of values. An idea that was destined for failure has now been made into the key source to get students and teachers more interacted while in a classroom setting. Tablets such as the iPad and the Microsoft surface have made this idea possible, showing students that there is another alternative to the traditional method which would be a printed version of the textbook. Tablets are portable computers that use a touchscreen as its primary input device, meaning that both keyboard and mouse are both physically located on the screen. Early Tablets were built to be used with a pen, today however tablets can be used with just one finger or multiple fingers with the support of multi touch input. Tablet have had a positive input on society especially students in school that are looking to get their work done in an engaging way and, not by moving a pen or pencil like it’s been done for decades. Tablets have proven to be the better tool for learning among students.
Along with technology being a distraction, it can also cause students to be less social.
Normal tablets provide easy, natural touchscreen computing for all users. They are good for reading, watching films or watching the photos and graphics images. Some of the tablets have high storage with allows to store many images. Many tablets have built in Bluetooth with means that when user is taking image it can send to the tablets and see the image and or edit it. So it means that it is a perfect device for people who do graphics editing
The 21st century has seen an increase in the use of technology. Scenarios of individuals walking while listening to their iPods, people at restaurants using their iPads or mobile phones are common. Young children at homes are increasingly playing video games. In colleges and other institutions of higher learning, students are increasingly using technology devices such as the iPod, to listen to music between classes and sometimes during lectures. Based on different literature, there are very differing views on whether technology does cause social isolation or whether it increases social interaction. How technology leads to social isolation or increases social interaction depends on how an individual uses the technology. Additionally, the ability to manage technology use by an individual also affects the influence of technology on the individual.
Then there's work. You have to help your boss out by typing, printing, and copying over 6,000 crucial documents. Good luck typing, let alone printing, from your little iPhone or Android phone! As far as tablets go, it's a hassle to find printers compatible with them. Honestly, who can say, "The PC industry is over. It's all mobile from here on," when you can barely find compatible printers for iPads? When it comes to work, smartphones and tablets just don't have the features, or power, to handle tasks like these. Desktop and laptop computers do, and that's why they aren't fizzling away anytime soon.

Long ago, people were simple and didn’t have many technologies. They used to take so much time in planning their projects, researching, and saving and recording their studying. Look around, this world changed a lot. There are cars, airplanes, computers, and many other technologies. Technology can be found everywhere, and we use depend on it a lot. One of the most important technologies is computers and laptops. Many people use them today in their daily lives and it eases many things for them.
In the United States, using a smartphone or tablet has been an unstoppable trend. According to the report from Pew Internet, in the United States, 56% of all adult population is smartphone user, 35% have cellphone, which is not a smartphone, and only 9% do not own any cell phone (Smith). At the same time, the tablet computer has been growing substantially since 2010, especially with the advent of Windows 8. Pew Internet shows that 34% of the United States adult population owns a tablet computer, representing a growth of more than 30% in three years (Zickuhr). Although these reports were based on the adult population, many children their own mobile devices. Such a device will provide them the accessibility to browse the Internet, listen to music, watch videos, play games both instantly and with unlimited quantity.
As more people began to access the Internet through smart phones and tablets rather than laptops and computers, it is not a surprise that they would also want to transform the American education system by bringing tablets into classrooms. In fact, a few schools around the country have already replaced textbooks with tablets and have seen improvements in students’ standardized test scores. Using tablets instead of textbooks is not only convenient and helpful, but it can also reduce the amount of paper wastes in school. However, it is not a good idea to completely transform textbooks with tablets with the current technology, for it can not only be damaging to the environment and costly to set up, but also might not be effective in improving K-12 education in the long run.
Technology has made our lives more productive in many different ways. One of the greatest inventions is Apple’s products. It leads to an evolution of tablet devices. An iPad or iPhone can act as a textbook, laptop, navigation, camera, notebook, gaming devices and more. It combines all the other devices into one, which allows us to manage our time effectively.
