as she has age, she has try new things that she never had before. She also told me that she has no problem tasting food and that she enjoys spicy food. From what we learned on the lecture, I was expecting her to have a decline of what she eats or at least that food didn’t taste the same but this was not the case. They say that if taste decline, smell declines as well but this wasn’t the case with my interviewee. She told me that she had no issues with smelling, except that she can’t handle perfume as before. During the whole interview she was making funny remarks and her granddaughter and her kept making fun of each other. That’s another reason I really enjoyed the interview. I didn’t felt like it was an interview, I felt like I was talking to my grandma and hearing stories about her life and experiences. The interview environment was really friendly and they made me feel like I was at home. My interviewee is a really good- hearted person. She’s really warm towards others and she makes sure you feel comfortable at her home. Conclusion I really learned a lot from doing this interview. At first I was kind of nervous because I didn’t know who to interview or what kind of questions to ask. But once I was there the questions just kept coming and ideas resurface. From the interview I learned things about my friend’s grandma that I didn’t know before. I also learned about some of the processes of growing older. It was interesting to me to compare some of the things we went over in lecture and compare my interviewee responds to them. Some of the things that where on the lecture my interviewee had already experience, while there were other things that she hadn’t. Everyone is different and everyone will experience aging differently. I also hope to be healthy overall and not take as much medicine. I will like to age and be able to do some things that I still enjoy like sports and lifting weight. At the end how we age can be influence by the decision we decide to do today. What we do today is going to affect how we look and feel tomorrow. I hope that whenever I’m 79 years old people will say that I look 10-15 years younger. If I start eating healthy and taking care of myself today, I might have a huge possibility of aging without any problems. For me this interview inspire me to change the way I look at old age and older people by not judging everyone the same and realizing that every person is unique in their own
