“Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it” (Bruce Lee). Since starting college, I have noticed more about my personality each and every day. By taking the MBTI test in theology class and now the big five inventory. I have felt myself connecting more and more to find out who I really am. I think before I came here, I was lost in the type of personality I was and felt designed to be the person I felt my parents wanted me to be. I have yet to change much based on these results, but I’m content on being the person I am and wouldn’t change it for the world. My scores for The Big Five Dimension weren’t surprising at all. My extraversion, openness levels were extremely low, while agreeableness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism were relatively high.
My extraversion levels were extremely low due to the fact that I’m an introvert. Being a shy person and keeping to myself, I was right about my focus of attention. I feel like I’m an extrovert when I am home with my family and friends, although, at school, I’m probably the quietest person you’ll ever meet. It is something I have been working on, but I can’t seem to break out of it. I feel like for now, I have to find the person I really am before I can fully be myself around people. I have always been an introvert, but it’s what is working for me at the moment. So, although I already k...

...has never been my strong point because I don’t like making up stories for entertainment. I’m a very confirming person when I do certain tasks. I don’t believe in myself much, so I like to reflect my ideas with other people. I feel like my openness puts all my personalities in one. The other four inventories have made the last one come together. I wasn’t a bit surprised at my results, although I have a little bit of an understanding on how low my openness actually is.
In conclusion, even though I wasn’t surprised by any of my outcomes, it still helped me understand my personality even more. I have something I need to change my personality, but right now this is who I am. I will always be reserved, have a soft heart, organized, emotionality unstable, and practical. I wouldn’t change my personality for the world and this really helped me understand it even better.
