There are many things I enjoy doing the most in my life. The top things I enjoy the most in my life are: spending time with my husband and kids, date night, girls night out, running, spin class, spa days, vacation, the beach, shopping, work, and sleeping. My favorite thing I enjoy the most is spending time with my children. I enjoy this because they bring me such joy, and make me laugh. They are very young and have such cute, and honest personalities. I hold my family very close to my heart, and they bring me the most joy. My husband and I dedicate one night a month to date night. When we had our second baby, the nurse told my husband that he needed to plan one night out a month. She explained it is good for your marriage, helps keeps it healthy, and alive. Three things that are important to me as a nurse: not to be judgmental, advocating for patients, and leave a lasting impression. I always try my best not to be judgmental, which working in a level four NICU, it is hard. We have a lot ethical cases in our unit, and being thankful I am not in our parent’s shoes, and the one making these choices. I am on the palliative care team, and do volunteer work for the Wishbone Foundation, and has become a passion of mine. It is very important for the patient to have someone advocating for them. That our babies with end of life, are comfortable, and we are supporting the parents the best we can. The last thing is to always be the best nurse I can, and leave an impression in my family’s heart; I want them to leave thinking they had a wonderful nurse.
