The Vindico is a novel about 5 teenagers named James, Lana, Hayden, Emily, and Sam. They get kidnapped by the League of Villains and are brought to the Vindico Mansion. Torturer, Rono, Avaria, Leni, and Silver each select a teenager to train based on their similarities in personality and ability. The kids train to become the villain’s protégés and their future generation. Baron, the mastermind villain, states that there will be severe consequences imposed if they try to escape the estate. He also lures the teenagers into joining the Vindico by offering to give them a superpower, which they can use to defeat the people who hurt them. James, Lana, Hayden, Emily, and Sam get bullied, either at school or at home, so they coalesce to get back at the world that has been cruel to them. After receiving their super power, they have a group session, personal training, and a workout for 4 hours every day to prepare them to battle the League of Heroes. This is a story that is about ten soldier boys on an island left to fend for themselves even with many sacrifices. There were many similarities and differences between the book and the movie.
* Duncan, Vinny, and Wayne are all friends working - or wasting time - the summer before senior year in high school. Duncan is the soul, Vinny the brains, and Wayne the muscle. At the end of the previous summer, Duncan tried to save a drowning girl and failed. Not being a hero has really affected his life, particularly his relationship with his girlfriend Kim. Also, he is now terrified of swimming, especially when the nightmares come back. Duncan's summer job is with the public transit lost and found. While trying to make the hours go faster, Duncan looks through the items, especially the books and golf clubs. One day he discovers an unmarked journal with no name, which depicts sadistic animal torture experiments, boasts of arson fires, and the planning for the serial killings of three women. Duncan decides to make amends for his failure last summer by tracking down the owner of the journal by using clues left hidden in the diary. After talking with his friend Vinny, Duncan decides to turn the journal over to the police, but they do not take him seriously, so he decides to get help from Vinny, do some research at the local library, and find out where the killer works and lives so they can prove to the police the diary is for real. But in the process when Duncan finds the house of the serial killer, he decides to take a look in it but unfortunately at that very time the serial killer appears and chases Duncan to the subway station. They get into fight there and they both fell on the subway tracks in the station where they get hit by the train. Duncan luckily survives but the serial killer dies.
After they found that they thought there's more to this and they started adventure to find the person this belongs too. Without giving away the plot, the story rapidly gets better. Plus, it leaves you with clues to work out. Also explains how the boys feel about searching for the person whom bag this is and etc. Also teaches to stay a couple step of the police officers and other criminal justice people. The 3 boys life is based on who just wanted simple life and get away from the corruption government who cares. The author Andy Mulligan has fitted this story to be a perfect plot to keep the reader guessing like he did me. Andy, use a twisting plot to make sure if you do anything make sure you stay ahead of the law enforcement. He, also used a unique setting of his story in such a good detail so you can image it in your head. But if you're not at a certain age some parts are disturbing to little kids. One part that scares ad disturb a lot of people is the “Prison cages” because when you a little kid you don’t see yourself in jail nor behind bars. Another thing that can have you scared is “ Police Brutally” because we supposed to look at cops are people to save us and help us. Not to hurt us and etc. And, this book is for both boys and
The main character, Tom Tin, faces hardships and struggles many fourteen year olds do not have to face so early on. His father has mistakenly got himself into trouble and it is up to Tom to save his father and help make his family’s future bright again. Tom has good intentions throughout the novel, but he gets himself into trouble. He turns out to be an unlikely hero after pushing through his doubts and finally triumphing over his mistakes along his journey.
The main characters are David, his mother, and father. David, the abused child, cannot escape his mother’s punishments. David’s mother is a drunken, abusive mother that refers to her child as “It”. David’s father is caring and understanding, but cannot help David escape. The mother and father drastically change after the alcohol abuse. David also changes in his attitude towards his parents.

The boys live a new life without adults and social norms. Roles in their makeshift society have been carried out but Jack’s self-imposed responsibility only aims to fulfill his personal agenda. Jack’s fervent character is aggressiveness masquerading as passion. This destructive behavior sends Jack to a faster decline to savagery in relation to his peers.

A mass movement is a form of social, economic, or religious movement where a large group of people attempt to rise up and evoke a change away from the status quo. The main character of this book is Ponyboy. Ponyboy was a Greaser he was different from all the others he liked books and movies. Nobody in the Greasers digged books and movies the way Ponyboy did. Ponyboy was fourteen years old and he had two brothers that he lived with his older brother Darrel who they call Darry and his second older brother Sodapop who was sixteen going on seventeen. Ponyboy only live with his brothers because they mother and father was killed in a car accident. Ponyboy wanted to be like a movie star Paul Newman he wished he looked like him. Ponyboy always thought his brother Darry never cared about him or anything else. Ponyboy had a friend Jonny. Johnny was a Greaser too but he was the softest one but after he got jumped that changed he always carried a switchblade on him.
In Thomas King’s “’You’ll Never Believe What Happened’ Is a Great Way to Start,” a battle of stories can be seen in how different cultures tell the story of creation. These stories and the manner in which they are told are at the core of different possible belief systems, one Christian and the other more “traditional”. Each story suggests a different framework for viewing the world in its entirety. In some ways they may be interpreted as the root of such framework; in other ways these stories can be seen as small embodiments of a larger meta-narrative. It is within the larger narrative of colonialism that I will attempt to dissect several examples of this battle of stories.
There is a large cast of characters including the priest Sarastro (a very serious, proselytizing basso), the Queen of the Night (a mean, angry, scheming coloratura), and her daughter, the beautiful and courageous Pamina. There is the handsome hero, Tamino, on the quintessential road trip, and his cohort in misadventure, the bird seller, Papageno. Papageno ultimately finds his Papagena (who starts out disguised as a crone), Tamino ultimately wins Pamina, Sarastro presumably wins a passle of converts, and everyone goes home humming the catchy Mozart melodies. It is all presented in a plot complicated by a dragon, a threesome of warbling ladies in service to the Queen of the Night, another threesome of boy-angels, even a bully - Monostatos, guard for the Queen. It is lightened by such elements as locked lips, charmed animals, and, of course, a magic flute.

The story is centred on Katniss. She takes the place of her little sister who is chosen for the game after which she heads of for the game with her male partner. This is an adventurous story of hope, love and sacrifice.
