It seems like everything we use involves electricity. Our lives revolve around electricity and without it our world would be in a hullabaloo. As our days go on our electricity output increases and our Fossil Fuel storage decrease. “We can thank Fossil Fuels for providing over 80% of our energy we use around the world.” (CNN Wire) As we look ahead to our future, we have to find another source to get our energy. Renewable energy comes into play because according to several scientists, easily retracted fossil fuels will be used up during the 21st century.(Lerner) Renewable energy is energy that can be harnessed without causing damages to air or water pollution, human health, global warming, and water and land use which is Vice Versa for Fossil Fuels. Alternative energy should be our main goal going forward, reminding us that we can’t always depend on the things we do now.

Fossil Fuels are nonrenewable energy sources that include: coal, petroleum, and natural gas. They provide more than 85% of the world’s energy including 80% of U.S.’s energy use. Fossil Fuels were first used during the Industrial revolution to power all the machines and locomotives. Fossil Fuels are organic matter that are made in high heats inside the Earth. Then we have Renewable Energy sources. Renewable Energy is energy provided from other than the three fossil fuels. Alternative energy includes nuclear power, solar power, wind power, and geothermal energy among others.

Due to the use of electricity vastly increasing since the 18th century, the use of fossil fuels increased as well. With every cause there is an effect and we are now looking at a potential dangerous problem with not being able to have anything that uses electricity or gas. With our fossil fuel...
