A Christian Rap ballad that I enjoy and think has a great message is “Round of Applause”. Written by KE on the Track and performed by Lecrae Moore (Lecrae) and Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr (B.oB.). This is a modern day ballad about people being stereotyped because of how they were raise or the color of their skin. But, they “beat the odds” and became better than what was thought to become of them. This song is meant to encourage people not to listen to what people say their future is going to be, to make their own future and prove they are better than that.

...but she is going to still wear those heels. Or she may be saying that it will be difficult to get up that hill but she is still going to do it. In the end she graduates, not only that, but graduates with honors.
In the end, this encourages people to pursue their life no matter what their own or their families past may have been. Also to not listen to what others say. To do what your heart wants, because at the end that is what will make you happy. This ballade encourages me to pursue God and try to figure out what his plan for me is, because who knows me better?
