Recommended: Compare watching a movie at home with going to the theatre

Watching movies has developed into a form of enjoyment for individuals, and families in today’s society. Going to a cinema to watch a movie or watching a movie at home both offers a fulfilling experience; despite the fact the two differ in terms of their overall entertainment, quality, and cost. Individuals choose to watch a movie as a form of entertainment. Some may prefer to go to a cinema to watch a new release or wait to watch it in the comfort of their own home. Unlike a home setting, a social atmosphere is present when choosing to take in a movie at the cinema. Most likely, it’s a date night with your spouse, with friends or a family event. When taking in a movie at the cinema you have the finest picture, sound and lighting available and this in return entices individuals to choose one over the other. While home theatres are becoming a trend in today’s households it does not compare to taking in a movie at a cinema if you are keen on the picture, sound, and image quality of a film. Cinemas are known for these features and continuous invest in them with upgrading. On the contrary, the sound quality can be too intense and the lighting may be too dim at the cinema and therefore, would be bothersome. Also, at a cinema you do not have personal control over the volume, fast forwarding previews, rewinding or even pausing the movie as you would at home. Alternatively, your home theatre setup may be more tolerable for your own, personal experience, considering you have the ability to fast forward, rewind, pause and adjust both the volume and lighting. Another form of quality that is experienced within a cinema is the social quality. One practice of social quality available at the Cineplex cinema is the Stars and Strollers program. A baby friendly environment that includes, low volume, low lighting, change tables, and stroller parking that provides new parents the capability to go watch a new release and still provide the necessary care for their child.
