Walmart is a Fortune 500 company as it employs 2.2 million people in 4,000 stores in the U.S. They are a discount retailer company that sells everyday household items, appliances, outdoor furniture, and food. The total assets for Walmart year to date are worth 199.58 billion in the U.S. They have almost five times the assets that the closest competitor which is Amazon, which has 80 billion in total assets. Let`s just say they are ahead of the rest of the company`s by a huge margin for total assets. The company`s total liabilities year to date are 64.62 billion dollars. A lot of the liabilities come from previous employees that try to sue the company for work related injuries, employment discrimination, and wage and hour claims. Walmart …show more content…

Short term debit in the year 2014 were 12 million and in 2016 it`s 6.0 million. The company is showing signs of reducing their debt and liabilities over the last two years. Horizontal analysis report of Walmart is increasing over the last two years in total revenue, gross profit, sales, general and administration. In the year 2014 total revenue was 476 million and in 2016 is 482 million. In the year 2014 gross profit was 118 million and in 2016 it`s 121 million.
