Since they have existed they have been accused of causing violence in our youth: they are named Violent Video Games. Firstly there has been no studies that show proof of violent behavior caused by violent video games. Video games also contribute a vast amount to the economy.Violent video games make up majority of video games today, and videogames themselves bring in quite an amount of money. Studies show that video game industry employees make about 90,000$ a year and the industry itself reels in about 21 billion dollars. People are often quick to point their fingers at violent video games for being the cause of why their children and youth are committing violent acts. There has been no proof that video game’s cause or incite children to act the way the character they play does in real life.Banning violent video games would be a major blow to the gaming industry and it would cause many to lose their jobs or their career because many have studied for this subject only. “There’s a lot more to the gaming world than those who simply produce the product, of course. Fold in indirect employees who are dependent on the industry for their livelihood”. In conclusion banning violent video games would be pointless in their attempt of trying to make their kids less violent and would also cause lots of people to lose their jobs because parents don’t want to surveille their kid and see what games he plays.
Secondly since video games have emerged crime has been reduced because violent video games let them take out their anger in the game instead of transferring that anger onto someone else. They can also be a entertaining and a learning experience.

They do not cause violence in our youth and society today. They are a way of escape and they help with our younger society today. You cannot ban them but parents can restrict them if they feel the need to. Video games should not be banned but should be monitored and restricted if needed in homes with young children.
