The people that youth look up to should send a positive message to the young. They should be concerned about the development of america and the well being of the children that have to grow up in our time of war.
Michael Jordon sends a positive message to kids such as "stay in school" and "dont do drugs". Michael donates a portion of his wealth to all sorts of charities and fund rasers. His work with youth has been improved on by doing disney movies such as "Space Jam". That particular movie didn't promote any drugs or any foul language.
Other celebrities such as Brad Pitt haven't performed in any motion pictures that promote good values that children should live by. Take for example Brad pitts movie "Seven".
Would you want your children to be watching a movie that promotes murder into some sort of masterpiece about the seven deadly sins? Or his movie "Fight Club", would you want your children to watch a movie that promote nothing but fighting and eventual terrorist groups destroying several buildings with Nytro Glycerin?
Children are exposed to all sorts of celebrities, and you as a parent should help them along the way and find one that has set a good example to live by. Children should have a good role model like Michael Jordan who promotes charities and plays in the NBA. The idea of playing in the NBA would make any young child jump for joy at the thought of having the chance one day to do so.
“You grow up being told- and believing- that you are amazing only to later be forgotten by the same people that told you how much they loved you.” With the 20th century rise of popular entertainment/ mass entertainment such as films and television, child stars have been looked at as role models and entertainment for the public. What we don't look at is the hardships that come along with being a child star. Growing up, everyone may have had a favorite child star and wondered what happened to them when they have grown up. They may have dropped out of the spotlight, became known for troubling things, or prospered to be very successful adults, but we never understand why they may have taken their paths and ended up at the place they are at now.Child
Female teens look up to celebrities as an image or a role model for self-confidence, self-goals and a positive reflect on their selves. As a girl was growing up, they were taught to use manners, be proper and to dress nicely. Little girls are typically playing with dolls and/or tea cups. As a girl, this was fairly fun and fascinating since I knew I had to grow up and learn more about real dolls, or babies, and real dishes. We were soon taught to clean after ourselves and help clean up. Eventually, that little girl will be a grown woman, and grown woman are very stereotyped by the
Popular contemporary author, George R.R. Martin, once said: “Summer will end soon, and my childhood as well.” The six poems discussed explore the different aspects of childhood, and portray childhood as a brief but magical ‘summer’-time, especially Piano and Hide and Seek, which emphasize this by alluding to the constrictions of adulthood and the warmth of juvenescence. While Gareth Owen’s Salford Road avoids any portrayals of adulthood, it might map the progression of childhood to adulthood like Vernon Scannell’s Hide and Seek, and thus accentuate the carefree lives that children lead. Meanwhile, Half Past Two by UA Fanthorpe and Houses by Robert Hull focus instead on the freedom and creativity childhood brings, and therefore presents the theme of childhood in a more playful light reminiscent of Martin’s summer. Finally, Soap Suds by Louis Macniece brings the briefness of childhood into focus, much like summer in the span of a year.
As he became more and more popular, he started scoring more roles as the protagonist. Being the protagonist in a film means that the people who watch can be influenced by the protagonist’s actions. Granted not every film starring Clooney is an applicable, positive influence, but many of them are. Many of his films feature the character he plays learning a valuable lesson; for example in the film O Brother Where Art Thou? George stars as a prison escapee searching for treasure who eventually learns to repent his sins (early in the movie he mocks baptization) and finds reason. Another instance occurs in a more recent film that Clooney directs and stars in titled The Monument Men where an unfit WWII platoon is tasked to recover stolen art masterpieces from Nazi thieves. The moral values presented in this film can easily be predicted based on the description. Firstly, the film portrays the act of stealing in a negative way by making the Nazis, an iconic hate-group, the thieves. Secondly, the movie recognizes the importance of art and how art influences people by making it the main goal of the protagonists to find. Lastly, the setting of the film being in WWII commemorates who fought in the war. Based on these two films as well as multiple others, it is certain that Clooney played leads in movies with positive themes to influence the watcher’s moral
...er to building a brighter future for the next generation, but we have to be positive and stop placing our teenagers in the negative category making them feel like they are nothing, or else they will live up to that label.
Parents should keep a check on their children for what they are watching and educate them about the difference between reality and portrayal in films.
...ildren, and most of their time must be enjoyed in creating their own private space. During our childhood, we build the seeds of creativity that will eventually determine our personality. And during adulthood, we always look back to the wonders of our youth. Show business is very hard for anyone, particularly for kids. Children do not belong in the entertainment industry. Young stars often complain about a stolen childhood, the pressure they have to face at a young age forcing them to mature fast, and the risks of exposure to dirty show business while still an innocent playful child. Celebrities who were exposed to the limelight at a tender age become scarred for life by early success and tend to compensate for the childhood they were deprived of during their later years in life.
Troubled Youth Despite many obstacles in my life, my experience performing community service stands out as the most memorable. I was sixteen at the time, and just beginning my first job at a fast food restaurant. I had to learn how to balance community service in the morning with my employment at the local Wendy’s. It was very stressful and influential at the same time.
Maturity is not something that happens overnight. Maturity comes through trial and error; it’s a process which has to be perfected. Life throws curveballs and there are always multiple ways to deal with the situations. Being mature is making the right choices and knowing right from wrong.
Being a celebrity exposes them to the public, and many celebrities take advantage of this in many ways. from endorsing sportswear to sunglasses, sometimes you even see them supporting politicians. Regardless of their interest this is important because they are trusted by their fans and are believed to be a person with morals and integrity. Sometimes you can turn on a television and see them hosting an event raising money for various causes, from helping hospitals that take care of kids that have cancer to earthquake victims or gathering food for the homeless. and we all can see this and it feels good that somebody is making at least an effort to help.
At its fundamental level, adulthood is simply the end of childhood, and the two stages are, by all accounts, drastically different. In the major works of poetry by William Blake and William Wordsworth, the dynamic between these two phases of life is analyzed and articulated. In both Blake’s Songs of Innocence and of Experience and many of Wordsworth’s works, childhood is portrayed as a superior state of mental capacity and freedom. The two poets echo one another in asserting that the individual’s progression into adulthood diminishes this childhood voice. In essence, both poets demonstrate an adoration for the vision possessed by a child, and an aversion to the mental state of adulthood. Although both Blake and Wordsworth show childhood as a state of greater innocence and spiritual vision, their view of its relationship with adulthood differs - Blake believes that childhood is crushed by adulthood, whereas Wordsworth sees childhood living on within the adult.
Several celebrities like actors, musicians, athletes or comedians establish plenty of positive self-images which can motivate or inspire many young people. Plenty of celebrities’ names have been used for encouraging voting, raising funds for victims from natural disaster and creating a charity, or many campaigns like anti-violence or anti-AIDS. There are many celebrities who give back to society. The positive side of celebrities can inspire people. People may do some charity for giving back, do well at school and avoid many troubles (Muhammad). Many of them turn their fame to work for various organizations that help people such as Angelina Jolie became a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador; she helped many refugees around the world. Moreover, she and her husband, Brad Pitt, have created the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which aims to focus on the poverty and provides elementary and secondary education also protect natural resources and wildlife (Celebrities Using Their Fame to Do Good). Additionally, Shakira, a famous singer, has founded the organization “Pies Descalzos Foundation” that provides the education for people in Colombia, South Africa and Haiti (Celebrities Using Their Fame to Do Good). And many celebrities turn their bad experiences to inspire many people. For examples, Martar Steward, who had been in jail for five months, becomes a woman giving a good lesson from her failure and success that can
Calling fame the root of all evil is too easy though, not everything is black and white, there must be a little grey, and there is. Not all children who grow up on the set or amongst other famous people turn out so badly. It isn't fair to stereotype all players to one game, especially when there have been plenty of examples to contradict that thought. These kids in the environment of the famous are just like you and I, they are people too, this means they depend on things that “regular” people depend on. Things that define our personalities also define those of the famous people we set apart as “abnormal”.
Celebrity culture is in our day to day lives. There is a huge impact of celebrity culture on society. Some people look up to celebrities as if they are some sort of god. Every action of the famous is known thanks to the media. Celebrities influence our lifestyle, fashion sense, behaviors, and even politics. They have the power to influence millions of people and should use their influence to benefit society by being aware of what they say and do. Because celebrities easily affect their fans, proper actions and statements are necessary in order to promote righteous values. The general public must remember to emulate the actions of the famous rather than the infamous.
Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. Young people are social actors of change and progress. They are a crucial segment of a nation’s development. Their contribution, therefore, is highly needed.
