“The Bahamas,” it was a trip of a lifetime. I went there with my girlfriend and a couple of other friends. We were all nervous because it was the first time any of us have flown. We finally got a chance to start boarding, after we arrived at the airport five hours early. Before boarding, we had to show the airport attendants our birth certificate. When I went to show them my birth certificate, they wouldn’t let me board because mine was a copy and not the original. Luckily, after waiting for twenty minutes, they made a few calls and let me go.
As we flew over the ocean the water was crystal clear and the sky was beautiful. I couldn’t wait to get there, but after two and a half hours, we finally arrived in Nassau, Bahamas. We got off the plane and the weather was beautiful, it was 90 degrees and sunny. We walked in, got our luggage and had to go through customs. We went outside caught our bus and off we went to our resort. When arrived there everyone was very nice and respectful.
Our first day their we planned to take a boat over to the Atlantis resort on Paradise, Island. The Atlantis is a resort known to have movie stars and athletes stay. I was only twenty years old when we went there, so I have never been to a casino. We all got to gamble, and I won $300 playing blackjack, it was a blast. The resort also had an underground aquarium with sharks and lots of other odd looking fish.
The next few days we sat around the resort and went parasailing, and lots of other activities. Parasailing was an adrenaline rush and probably one of the funnier things I had done in my life. We also went downtown Nassau and that is where they have a big flea market. The flea market had a lot of neat and different things down there. We spent the whole day downtown and later that night went out to a few dance clubs.
The last two days we were there a hurricane was roaring in, while we were trying to get out.
We walked around San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico a little. Then we went to the ferry that was taking us where to Culebra. It was about 1pm by now. The ferry ride was about an hour and a half long ride. It was raining a little so we couldn’t sit outside of the boat and see the view. I ended up falling asleep for about half the ride. When we finally got to Culebra, we were so happy. It wasn’t raining anymore, the sun was out, and it was beautiful. At the time we didn’t have car so we were kinda stuck there. After a half hour of calling places to see if they had any cars for rental we finally found a place. We rented two big black jeeps for the next 10 days. When we got the cars and we could drive them around, we drove up the mountain to the house we were staying at for the
Disney world, Paris, Australia, Italy; all amazing places I’m sure, but I’ve never been. Although there is one place I have been to; it was none other than Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
The first week of April 2015- my junior year spring break- while everyone else was partying at the beach would be boarding a plane that would take my family and me on a four-hour flight from my home town of West Orange to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. My Father had been longing for a chance to show our family the homeland of his ancestors, and being the big travels we are it was truly on a matter of time before we did.
When I stepped out of the hot, airless plane into the bright, dazzling sunlight beaming down across the burning concreate, I felt excited and nervous. Holding my beach bag in my hand and slipping my Ray Ban sunglasses on with my other, I flip-flopped down the airspace. Overhead I heard the screams of gulls and the chatter of the small fluffy birds. I suddenly realized I had arrived to Hawaii. This trip was such an unforgettable vacation for me because I got to witness the beauty of nature that Hawaii has to offer.
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
My unforgettable experience is when I went to Manzanillo, Colima. I went 6 moths ago with my boyfriend, and we will never forget it because it was very exciting and we were planning this trip for a long time. We only had 2 nights and 3 days in this beautiful beach but it was enough for us to make it perfect. We spent all the time together just having relaxation time and time for each other. We frequently go to beaches, but this trip was very special.
The night before leaving I couldn't sleep. When I woke up that morning it was a beautiful spring day. The sun was shining brightly, and the clouds in the sky looked like giant marshmallows. I was so excited because this was my first time going on a vacation. I had already put my suitcases and bags in my car the night before. After I said my goodbyes to my family, I was on my way. I met with Lisa a...
The last day of our trip we went to a cool go kart place. They had go karts, slide karts, bungee jumps, and even laser tag. We did all of them. It was a ton of fun, riding the go carts, running into each other. Then we had to pick blueberries they were sweet but time consuming. We picked for three hours in the hot sun. We did get thirty pounds though.
The second day we decided to take a ferry to another island that was a bit more like the city and had many more stores and we went out to eat there and got a souvenir each personally I picked out a hat while my brother and two cousins got rubber band shooters. After shopping we went to a little restaurant and had some delicious pizza that was very thin and saucy.after this we took the ferry to our beach house where all 11 of us slept, I was on an air mattress and kinda got lucky I didn't have to share one like my brother and sister because I kick in my sleep and they don't want to sleep with me when I do that.
As we arrived I got more and more excited like a little kid on Christmas. Everyone was so anxious to jump out the truck to get some fresh air that no one notice that we had to unload all that luggage. The warm summer air ran across me so swiftly and the sound of the cars in traffic on the street next to us was like music to my ears. The sound of the beach and the waves and seagulls ring through my ears. I loved the sound of the big city. We stood and waited
Later, the next morning my family and I woke up bright and early because the ship was boarding in to the Bahamas. We went to go get breakfast before the ship docked and I got pancakes and eggs and they were delicious. When we were done eating we went to our room
My favorite part of the trip was going zip lining at Skyline Eco Adventures in Ka'anapali. This was something that nobody in my family has ever done so it was an
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
One our way there we made a stop to meet up with my mom’s aunt and give her flowers because she was really sick. We also made a stop to see our cousins and play to get energy out. These were just things to help us stay entertained for a little bit before getting back in the car for a long ride. As soon as we got to the hotel we got to go swimming and watch the fireworks from our hotel. That day was one of the best days I have ever had. I was genuinely happy for once. The next day we woke up got all ready in our disney gear and headed for the park. My mom had gotten a call the night before from one of her customers that lives in California saying her husband works there so if we wanted we could get in for free instead of buy tickets when we got there. This was a huge blessing because we really didn’t have the money to go but my mom wanted it to work so she moved some payments around but we didn’t have to worry about it because we got in for
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
