Kakadu was declared a national park on 5 April 1979, and also granted world heritage status in 1979. Kakadu National Park is a magnificent part of Australia, and contains many beautiful features.
The name ‘kakadu’ comes from the land’s traditional aboriginal owners, the Gagudju people. They have interacted with Kakadu for over 50 000 years, one of the longest periods of interaction found anywhere on earth. The Aboriginal rock art is of particular significance as it provides us an insight of the Gagadju people’s lives for over 50 000 years. The art also records the changes to the physical environment over the time. The Gagadju have a close spiritual bond with KNP, meaning that they don’t wish to dominate KNP; instead they live in harmony with it.
Kakadu is often described as having 2 seasons. The ‘wet’ and the ‘dry’. This is caused by a monsoon, a seasonal reversal in wind direction.
Down across the length of Kakadu runs a sandstone escarpment of almost vertical cliffs. The flora and Fauna on this plateau contains many endemic species.
During the wet season, the river systems can’t cope with the amount of water flowing into them. As the water spreads out from the rivers, vast large areas of flood plains are formed. These flood plains provide a habitat for local and migrating birds, who make Kakadu their temporary home. During the dry season the water evaporates until only the billabongs and rivers remain. These make homes for freshwater crocodiles, fish and turtles.
Within Kakadu National Park, Jabiru is the only major urban centre. In many ways the town is a unique Australian community. It was originally built to house uranium miners and their families, however, the town is now the centre of Kakadu’s rapidly growing industry and the home of scientific and environmental specialists whose task is to study, protect and manage the park.
Walk onto any college campus or any other type of school campus and you will see many students that are either obese or close to being obese. Many cafeterias serve healthy foods and non-healthy foods. Schools came up with the rule that you can’t check out lunch without a fruit or vegetable. The only problem is that most students end up taking them and end up wasting them by throwing them away. Considering I am a college student, I understand the challenge of eating unhealthy when I am trying to eat healthier. Overall, I know that if I don 't start eating healthier soon I could end up gaining a lot of weight and become obese. For this research project, I decided to ask, what can be done about the problem of obesity in our country? This question
As the President was ending his speech, he gives recognition to those American that are often overlooked. Due to, not having a political title or a high social class position. Throughout these recognitions, the president said “I see it”, which allows viewers to feel a sense of appreciation. By him addressing all walks of life, Americans were able to identify with the various situations and feel worthy and important. For example, Obama said “I see it in the American who served his time, and made mistakes as a child, but now is dreaming of starting over and I see it in the business owner who gives him that second chance.” This was impactful because there are millions of Americans that can relate to this story. So when they hear the president recognizing them despite one’s shortcomings is heartwarming. Furthermore, this emotional appeal leaves viewers with a good feeling about Obama, because they feel he understands them and has their best interest at heart. Therefore, Obama succeeded at being the voice of the people and touching their heart with his empathy and positive

If one were managing Yellowstone National Park, a close review any plans to build additional roads to increase park access would be necessary. One would need to define what a national park and wilderness are, review reasons to build the roads, reasons not to build the roads, and develop a plan for Yellowstone that would allow current and future generations to enjoy a great national treasure.
This park is famous among National Park Service enthusiasts and photographers but is under-appreciated by just about everyone else. Not only is this the most diverse National Park, but it is simply one of the best. No other place has such disparate landscapes packed into such a small area.

Every day the hot, humid air rises off the ground and collides with cooler air above and turns into rain. In the afternoons on the summer savanna the rains pour down for hours. There are a few distinct sorts of savannas around the globe. The savannas we are most acquainted with are the East African savannas secured with acacia trees. The Serengeti Fields of Tanzania are probably the most understood. Plants of the savannas are very specific to develop in this environment of long stretches of dry season. They have long tap roots that can achieve the profound water table, thick bark to oppose yearly flames, trunks that can store water, and leaves that drop of amid the winter to save water. The grasses have adjustments that demoralize creatures from eating on them; a few grasses are too sharp or intense tasting for a few creatures, yet not others, to eat. The side advantage of this is each types of creature has something to eat.
This trip starts from Denver, Colorado to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. “Natural landform” is the main theme for this trip. I will explore the mystery of geothermal features in Yellowstone National Park.
The imagery of the blue eye is vital for the story, which reminds the narrator of a vulture. This symbolism can be portrayed as a foreseeable death, because in the nature of vultures they sweep in on already dead prey and feast. This can present a foreseeable act, in which he commits the murder of the old man because of his lack of sanity. As the story proceeds, the narrator is cautious and meticulous in his plan of murder. This gives the narrator a false sense of sanity, because he believes if he is careful and scrupulous, then he is sane and in control of his situation. For Poe to use this satire that the narrator is sane and believes he is in control is vital to the building of this tale. As he constructs his murder plan, he watches and stalks the old man, who he has deemed as innocent, and eventually commits the murder on the old man. When stalking the old man in the middle of the night he is startled when the old man awakens from
Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart" is a short story about how a murderer's conscience overtakes him and whether the narrator is insane or if he suffers from over acuteness of the senses. Poe suggests the narrator is insane by the narrator's claims of sanity, the narrator's actions bring out the narrative irony of the story, and the narrator is insane according to the definition of insanity as it applies to "The Tell Tale Heart".

Through life we have many different stages to where we are either settling down for a nice home cooked meal or we are constantly on the go, running around our hectic lives, eating very unhealthy foods. Especially in our college years, students are always on the go running to and from class grabbing a burger and fries from a campus restaurant or eating the microwaveable foods like ramen. Many people try to eat healthy, but always succumb to the stereotype that eating healthy is expensive and takes too much time. This is a common misconception because there are ways in which anyone can eat healthy and on a budget as long as they eat proper portions, eat the right kind of foods, and excessive.

To begin the story Poe has a man who sets the scenery. The man sounds like he has a sound mind. But the narrator is trying to build his case for his sanity. The idea of the obsession that the narrator has with the eye of his employer builds to the question of whether or not this was a sign of a man who has an unstable mind or is it all just a ploy to get away with murder.
