Pride and Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice has many ways to make you laugh, but at the same time this novel makes you think. The character that I thought caused the most thoughtful laughter was Miss Bingley and her admiration of Mr. Darcy. When she was first introduced into the story she thought she was so much better than the families in the area, but it was at the second dance that she made her feelings known to Mr. Darcy, who by this time already had his eye on Elizabeth. ¡° I was never more annoyed! The insipidity and yet the noise; the nothingness and yet the self-importance of all these people!¡± (19)*. I laughed when I thought of Miss Bingley¡¯s family and how they started out as working class people, they were just more successful at it than most. Miss Bingley makes many personal attacks on Elizabeth¡¯s character, most of which are disregarded by Mr. Darcy. Elizabeth walking to Netherfield to visit Jane when she was ill gave Miss Bingley occasion to make one of her nasty comments to Darcy, ¡°I am afraid, Mr. Darcy,¡ that this adventure has rather affected your admiration of her fine eyes.¡±(26)* Darcy told Miss Bingley how wrong she was, as well as praising Elizabeth . Miss Bingley works very hard on complimenting Darcy on everything he does, she makes quite a silly fool of herself by doing so. Mr. Darcy brushes aside her attentions as frequently as she gives them. When he is writing a letter to his sister during he first stay at Netherfield, she showers him with praise and he seems most annoyed with her continuous talking. From this readers point of view she tries so hard to attain her goal of acquiring his affections, that in fact she earns his disdain. Miss Bingley continues in her assaults on Elizabeth's appearance and character, and in doing so lowers herself in Darcy esteem even further. ¡°How very ill Eliza Bennet looks this morning¡I must confess for my own part I could never see any beauty in her¡and in her air altogether, there is a self-sufficiency without fashion, which is intolerable¡ ¡®She a beauty!-I should have soon have called her mother a wit.¡¯ But afterwards she seemed to improve on you, and I believe you thought her rather pretty at one time.¡±(200-201)* This was not the best method of recommending herself to Darcy, but angry and jealous people are not always insightful when it comes to others feelings.
First of all, gardening has been proven to ameliorate the wellbeing of an individual. As Finley says, “we are soil”. Since we are creatures of the earth, it makes sense
Gradually, a garden can be a comfort place for a person. It can even bring a community together. Maybe it can also symbolize the meaning to a belief. A garden can benefit the gardener who is growing it or a community that is building one for a good cause. In “Sowing Change” by Donna Freedman, gardens means a lot to the community of North Lawndale, in Chicago. In “Marigolds” by Eugenia Collier, a garden full of a few Marigolds means the world to someone.
Sure, he's abrasive, blunt, unvarnished and maybe egotistical. But he's also got the self-confidence, fearlessness and knowledge of his personal mission that in past years, and some parts of Idaho today, would have gotten him called an uppity N-word, maybe worse.
A friendship is a bond shared with another person, typically of common interests. A friend is honest, loyal, faithful, and trustworthy. It's someone you can share secrets, memories, fears, and dreams with. They stand by you despite arguments or disputes that might arise. Friendships can bring joy, as well as pain; friends want the best for each other, and sometimes sacrifices must be made. In Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck speaks of the advantages and pitfalls to a friendship.
By definition a friend is a person who provides assistance and support. We have different groups of friends for different purposes in our lives. Although there are many different categories of friends, Marion Winik author of “What are Friends For?” mentions that some of the more common groups consist of the faraway, work, family, and former friends (132). We keep our friends because we value their loyalty, communication, support, and dependability.
The novel Pride and Prejudice is about five sisters and the things that happen on

Einstein, Albert (1879-1955), was one of the greatest scientists of all time. He is best known for his theory of relativity, which he first advanced when he was only 26. He also made many other contributions to science.
Albert Einstein is looked at as one of the most magnificent scientific thinkers throughout history. His theories on the nature and dimensions of time and space immensely changed the way people thought of the physical world and established many of the major fundamental foundations for a tremendous amount of the our scientific discoveries and inventions in the 21st century.
This is the year that Einstein publishes visionary pieces, a well-known one is the Theory of Relativity (Doc). Einstein develops this theory while on a bus in Burns, Switzerland. He imagines the bus traveling near the speed of light, as he reaches the speed of light he notices the clock tower’s hands in the distance appeared frozen. This leads to the idea that space and time are deeply connected, the incredible thing was that Einstein wasn’t even a scientist at this point. He would develop a total of 4 theories, but he was up against hundreds of years of established science and recondition wouldn’t come easy. It would be almost a decade before he was able to prove all his theories, nothing would stop him from achieving his goal, not even World War I. He developed a new understanding of gravity, that of which space and time and are malleable. The way he would try to prove this was by taking a picture of stars near the sun, but only during a total solar eclipse in order to see light bending. He accomplishes this feat but not before years of missed eclipses and the wild goose chases across countries that his fellow scientists endured, one of which became a prisoner of war to help Einstein’s cause. It truly is astonishing how an unknown challenged established theories only to disprove them and give a new
One strength Hillary Clinton possesses is her vast political experience. Her lengthy resume speaks volumes to her knowledge of the issues and proves her readiness to be president to many voters. Her experience as Secretary of State allows Clinton to boast about being a stable hand in the rapidly changing global climate of today, therefore she must relate her experience to being a steady leader. Her time at the Children’s Defense Fund bolsters her on social issues and improves her humanity and likability. Also, her experience can be emphasized by means of high-profile endorsements, like that of Barack Obama, who called her one of the most qualified candidates in history (Bump). This matters to educated voters as they recognize that Mr. Trump, unstable in terms of

Pride and Prejudice "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of good fortune, must be in want of a wife. " Taken from Jane Austen's classic novel, Pride and Prejudice, this is probably one of the most famous opening sentences in English literature. It is clear to see from this one sentence that the novel is going to be about money, marriage and morals. The question is, from whose perspective, is a single, rich man in want of a wife? As we begin to read the novel, it becomes apparent that it is Mrs Bennet who believes that all rich, single men must be in want of a wife when she says at the beginning of the very first chapter, "A single man of large fortune; four or five thousand a year.
As we read on, we see a change in Darcy, and feel that his heart of
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
