The Transformation from Student to Teacher

Is there a transformation from student to teacher? The nature of a student is learning to develop skills to help them with there everyday problems. Later on in their schooling they will start to develop more advanced skills. Skills which will be used to help other students perform tasks to help the community, such as building bridges, teaching, networking an office building, and so on.

After you have mastered a major role in society and can perform its task flawlessly you begin to teach others the same knowledge which you have acquired. One reason is because you have performed in that duty long enough to teach others how to do it properly and the precise ways, but at the same time you are still a student. Mainly because the world today has increased its standards, and increased the safety laws. During your term of teaching, your methods are becoming extinct and you are forced to increase your knowledge of newer ways and safer ways so your students will have the newest and most up to date knowledge of the subject.

Some of the greatest are also the greatest students. My science teacher throughout high school was one of my favorite teachers. She knew how to bring her knowledge to life. Throughout high school I always chose one of her science classes. She had been teaching for at least fifteen years before I was ever a student of hers, and she was still a student in college. She was working on her doctrine in Physics. She was a very smart teacher and she played a big role in myself wanting to be a teacher.

If it was not for education the world would be out of order and unorganized, which makes it difficult for everyone. If it were not for teachers being able to overcome the obstacles and having the nature of helping others, the world would be over run with ignorance and total chaos.

As a teacher I would use a number of different philosophies if the classroom.

- The Transformation of Teaching: Why Technology Is Essential In earlier times, the acquisition and spreading of knowledge was not used to improve society. Instead it was used to have control and to exclude certain groups. As one could imagine, there needed to be a change in the way that the education system was set up. Education Is The Growth Of A Student 's Beliefs And Knowledge Essay

- What is education. I believe education is the growth of a student’s beliefs and knowledge. Education should not be limited to a classroom, but should continue throughout the entire day. Education is a never ending experience that is not limited to math, science, social studies, writing, and reading. It is a process in which the mind unconsciously forms ideas, habits, and emotions (Dewey, 1897). Education is a process of becoming who we are meant to be; humans have historically been aware that we are unfinished beings....   [tags: Education, Teacher, Pedagogy, School]

It would be almost impossible to just limit yourself to just one. My main philosophy would be behaviorism. I would use behaviorism in most of its aspects. From what I have observed and learned as a student I realize that the teachers using behaviorism seemed to get the best response from myself as a student. I strongly believe that by using positive reinforcement in a classroom will help a student in achieving the desired goals set for them.

Essentialism is another philosophy that I would use in the classroom. A student should be organized and have proper manners, which is what I feel that essentialism main goals are. However, I would not be able to use it in its full aspects because I am pursuing a heath and physical education degree at this point, and I would be unable to teach the students all the subjects that is required as an essentialist. Some of the essentialism subjects are reading, writing, spelling, penmanship, speaking, grammar, math, science, US history, geography, music, and art.

Progressivism is probably the key to teaching grounds, because one should not be allowed to pursue a high level of education if they are unable to master a subject. Which would be required for them to move on to the more advanced subjects.

One more philosophy in which I would use in my classroom is the Socratic method. I think his method is very astonishing. To be able to teach people without a classroom would be a very challenging task. The way I would use his method would be a little different from his for the simple fact that I would have a classroom, which I would be allowed to teach in. If I would some of my students in the hallway I would ask them questions about a topic I had taught them previously or engage in a little conversation about that topic just to make sure that I am conveying the lesson as planned. Of course it would be impossible to do this with every student. Hopefully I would get one of the students that were having a little more difficult time grasping the concept.

Currently I am working on my bachelor’s degree in heath and physical education. I enjoy health and physical education because in order to think and work well you have to be physically fit. If your not physically fit fatigue, sickness, and being constantly tired can cause you not to be able to focus on subjects in school. Through out my entire life I have engaged in physical activities in and outside of school. I have had personal trainers in helping me to achieve my physical and health goals. Having a healthy body will prolong your life and clear your mind. I want to be able to help students to be able to reach their goals in physical strength and health. I also want to be able to help students in other goals in their life but it will have to wait until I receive my bachelors in health and physical education first.

After I receive my bachelor’s degree I plan on teaching for a couple years to get my foot in the door. Then I plan to go back to graduate school to study some kind of athletic training or special education. After I receive my masters I wish to go to achieve my doctrine, but I am still unsure what area of study I want to go into. I would first like to get some knowledge of how everything works. So I know what I work the best at. I think I would like concealing, so that I can help the students who need the most help one on one, and be able to give them my fullest attention, because my councilor was always a person I felt like I could trust with my problems. Even though I knew I could trust all of my teachers with my problems. I felt a larger bound between my counselor and myself.

I think that a good teacher is one who is always prepared. As difficult as it may be sometimes it is a major part of a classroom. I will always care for the students and help them in their time of need. If they are having difficulties in reading or difficulties at home, I will always give my best in trying to help them. When I become a teacher my students will be my family in a since, and I will always be true and fair to my students. I will treat my students with the up most respect that I wish to receive back from them. I will treat them as if they were my family. I love to help people in their quest for a happy life and I believe that a happy life begins with knowledge, and without knowledge life would be miserable.
