Capital Punishment for Women that Have Abortions
Abortion is the worst thing a woman can do against human dignity. It is a crime
against life. No woman has the right to kill a new living being. Many countries
ban abortion and many institutions fight against it. Abortion is immoral and it
should not be legalized.
Abortion is also a threat to the mother's health. A woman can suffer an
infection or internal bleeding. She could also become sterilized, the permanent
inhability to bear a child. Abortion not only kills the baby but may kill the
mother too. During an abortion, despite the use of local anesthesia, 97% of the
women report severe pain, and if a more powerful drug is used she could suffer
dangerous side effects. Many complications are common after an abortion, like
inflammation of the reproductive organs. As well, there is strong evidence that
abortion increases the risk of breast cancer. Women that abort increase their
chances of getting breast cancer by 50%, and teenagers with no previous
pregnancies that abort after the 8th week increase their probability by 800%.
Unicef states that 250,000 women die every year because of legal and illegal
abortions: 75,000 of them die of self-inflicted abortions; 75,000 die of
convulsions; and the other 100,000 die of blood poisoning caused by an infection
of the uterus. Therefore, if abortion is legalized there will be not only more
fetal murders but also more mothers will die.
None of the methods women use to abort are completly safe. One of the most
common methods used is Suction Aspiration. The doctor uses a special tool to
suck the baby into a collection bottle. Great care must be taken to prevent the
uterus from being damaged, which would cause hemorrhage. A woman with hemorrhage
will need a blood transfusion that could cause her AIDS. Also infection may
easily occur if fetal tissue is left behind in the uterus. Another method used
for babies as old as twenty four weeks, is the Dilation and Evacuation. Sharp
jaws are used to grasp different parts of the unborn baby which are then torn
away. The skull of the baby must be crushed to facilitate the procedure. Another
technique used by a lot of pregnant women is the RU486.
In “Rappaccini’s Daughter,” a tale written by Nathaniel Hawthorne in 1844, many conflicts, both thematically and characteristically, take place and help to illustrate Hawthorne’s gothic and epic themes. Conflicts between modern science and morality, good and evil, and inherent human faulty are all made evident. Four main characters are presented as vessels for Hawthorne’s grand scheme: Giacomo Rappaccini, Professor Baglioni, Giovanni Guasconti, and Beatrice.
Bipolar disorder is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in a person's mood, energy, and ability to function.
Women would often die days later after having an abortion done at a clinic due to improper procedures performed in the abortion process ( Agresti, N.P). In a clinic abortion, the most common type of abortion performed during the first trimester of the pregnancy is called an “aspiration abortion” (In-Clinic Abortion Procedures at a Glance, N.P). During this procedure, the fetus’s heart needs to stop and would be done by an injection. Afterwards, the fetus is removed through the cervix with a vacuum and the rest is scraped with a curette. This can be unruly to witness as the tissues are discarded afterwards. In addition to aborting the child, the woman would have feelings of regret and they have the tendency to commit suicide more than a woman if she was suffering from post-mortem depression. The court case of “Roe vs Wade” legalizes abortion allowing more rights for the women but pro-life supporters argue that it counters the argument that all living things have their natural right protected. This right does not extend to the fetus and that is what pro-life supporters want to change. Abortion should not be legal as it violates the natural right of the unborn, can be considered murder and meddles with the morals and values of
It’s important to mention that in abortion you are not just taking the life of a human being, the mother is also in danger of not being able to have more children or to even loose her life.
Considering American ethics and values, death is morally wrong. Therefore, the killing of unborn fetuses is morally wrong as well.Abortion
When I first thought of what I wanted to do with my life after college, the first thing I thought of was helping people. The next step in deciding what I wanted to do with my life was to exam how I could accomplish this goal. I started pondering and I was thinking about how much I love to take care of my body. Health care and personal hygiene has always been an important factor in my life. So I decided to major in Health Science. With this major, I will be able to further my education in ways to be healthy and possibly learn how to help others. I decided that being a health physician or nutritionist was something that I was really interested in. This is where communication studies came in. I figured that if I minor in communication studies, I could improve my oral and written communication to better help in my future of nutrition.
In the movie "Remember the Titans" by "Boaz Yakin" the character Herman Boone, played by "Denzel Washington", is faced by a difficult challenge that is significantly important to the movie. Boone in a sense faces a challenge of acceptance in which, by the end of the movie, he has experienced in two noticeable ways. Boone faces the challenge of being accepted by the community, revealing to us that he wants the community working together rather than judging and persecuting one another. Additionally Boone fights for the acceptance and respect of his team, The Titans, proving to them that they can indeed "make this race thing work".
If everyone recycled think of how much more space there would be in landfills across the world. There is only so much room on this earth and we are using a huge portion of it for our trash. Clearlake, California alone on a busy day can bring in 80,000 pounds of trash to the local dump. I know this because I work at the local dump in Mckinleyville. I also see a lot of people that throw away their recycling for the simple reason of being too lazy to sort it. I watch bag after of bag of plastic, aluminum, and glass get thrown into the bin which we haul straight to a landfill in Anderson, California. If everyone in Mckinleyville recycled there plastic, aluminum and glass they could save thousands of pounds a day from going to the landfill. I think people are not informed that waste is a big problem in this world. But in fact conservation is an issue, and resources and energy aren't too plentiful. Someday these resources are going to run out. But the more we recycle the longer we can make these resources last.
People need to think about the objects that they throw away, those items can affect the animals around the world. For example, when people throw away the plastic rings that go around pop cans, can kill animals by being stuck around their little necks. So, before people throw those plastic rings out, they need to make sure that they cut a slit into each ring so in case an animal does get stuck in one of them, then they can get out safely. Recycling does not just have to be about plastic, but when the plastic is recycled, Americans can use it for many different things. For example, the plastic can make park benches, plastic crates, and wire tubing. Many people do not understand where all of the recycled objects go, but the objects do not go anywhere they are just recycled to make other things, recycled objects also help reduce the price of the objects that they make. The best part about recycling is the fact that people can recycle almost anything and turn it into something completely different. For example, Keen’s Harvest makes bags, wallets, and totes from recycled airbags that come from automobiles. Another example is Looptworks uses cotton jersey, nylon, vinyl, and recycled polyester to make their upcycled leather iPad cases. Skateback is another company that uses recycled material to make iPhone backs; they use the discarded post-industrial skateboard materials. Vinylux
The short story is in brief about the married couple Bill and Arlene Miller, who lives opposite the married couple Harriet and Jim stone. Bill and Arlene constantly see themselves in the light of the Stones' happy life. Bill is a bookkeeper and Arlene is a secretary, while Jim is a salesman for a machine-parts firm. In the story the Stones are going on a business trip combined with a family trip. Bill and Arlene are set to look after the Stones' apartment, feeding the cat, Kitty, and water their plants. In the Stones' absence Bill and Arlene show themselves from a side you normally don't experience from people that is to say the side that shows when you are alone with yourself with the minds curiosity. The story takes place over the course of 3 days. We have an objective third party storyteller and the entire story is written in the past with a few dialogs here and there. It is chronological and we don't experience any flashbacks or flashforwards. The language isn't advanced, the sentences aren't exactly long and there aren't any complicated words. That is probably due to the fact that the story takes place in an everyday life, in an everyday life environment and also in a very normal situation (it must be said to be normal to feed the cat and water the plants, when the neighbors are away). To sum up it is not a demanding text in terms of the length or the difficulty. We don't know where the story takes place or when it takes place. We don't even know how old our main characters are. Is it even necessary? Raymond Carver gets in stories a hold on themes like alcoholism, poverty, divorce and misfor...
Abortion is the operation to end a pregnancy by removing a fetus or an embryo from the womb. This topic has been one of the most prominent controversies in the United States. A human’s life is special in all stages and should not be taken away for any reason. The robbing of someone’s life at any point is morally wrong and is a crime according to religion and the law regarding murder. If one cannot assume the responsibilities of taking care of a human until they are able to survive on their own, then intercourse is not recommended.
One reason is that recycling can help save the earth from waste and trash build-up. For example, fifty percent of roofing and construction on houses is made from recycled aluminum cans. Using recycled materials to produce new products costs less money and less energy than new materials. It can also save valuable landfill space. People have trash everyday. Pretty much anything is recyclable. If you throw them away, it?s a waste of natural resources, a waste of energy, and a waste of money. Instead people should take the time collect these things and put some effort into helping in the world we live in.
Our world is getting to the point to where we will be surrounded by trash. There are hazards happening because of the excess trash, which could have been recycled. Although the government is not doing their best to make these hazards stop, surprisingly it is the non-governed organizations that are trying to make the difference. Proven studies and facts have been made about these issues, so people should take this into consideration and start recycling more. Recycling is a beneficial process that is not required globally like it should be because citizens are uneducated on the process and what it can do. People who are not recycling do not know the hazards they are causing everywhere.
Some people say recycling is a waste of time. If one is a very busy person, then maybe. But taking that extra two seconds to recycle, saving energy, money, resources, and the world isn’t a bad plan either. If everyone would take the extra two seconds to recycle, the extra effort would help to make the world would be a much cleaner and more efficient place. Recycling could also help to lower taxes in the long run. Recycled materials have value, and trash costs money. A city recycling program could sell it and make money. Then, with the extra money, the city wouldn’t have to charge as much money on taxes. Now how does those two extra seconds sound now? One can better the place they live in and save some money by taking two extra seconds to recycle.
Therefore, recycling can protect natural resources, preserve energy and lessen pollution. If people want to save planet Earth for generations to come, then recycling is necessary. On Debate.org, the question “Should there be mandatory recycling?” was asked and 84 percent said yes, while only 16 percent said no (“Should There Be Mandatory Recycling”). Recycling is very important to the planet and can make a huge difference in so many ways. Recycling is a way of life and once a person has made the choice to follow through with the steps, recycling can become second nature. Every small contribution adds up to how the society shapes the Earth’s future. How will someone make a difference?
