I intend to point out how video games are related to American culture, how it can be educational with a lot of fun and how video games impact on children negatively. The facts say that between 1900 and 1940 because of technology, the video game is transformed from unforgivable geekery to a whole new cool thing. At 2015, the value of worldwide video games market reached more than 75 million US dollars. It became the no. 1 business industry. Video game industry’s biggest target is American culture. Video games also have a negative impact on children of American society. Human being’s first objective is happiness. And we people prefer to fulfill this objective of happiness by the means of entertainment. But sometimes these things like games can do alteration in our lives. Today, it is very difficult to find games which do not contain bad language and violence. Video games are very addictive, therefore, addiction can lead to unhealthy activities. Studies showed that day-by-day gamers indulge in video games and they do not take care of their health and sit for hours in front of gaming devices. Studies also showed that, from 1980, the rate of obesity in the United States is increased by three times. On the other side, if we explore our brain in the fantasy world, playing roles and doing violence all the time, this will affect our brain and there are 90% more chances that we will do these things in our real life. Playing video games all the time can also affect the studies. The main focus of the students gets deviated from the studies to video games. It is proven that students who play action and adventurous video games are more aggressive in their real lives as compared to the students who do not play video games.
