Greek Art
Greek art flourished between the centuries VII and II before BC, in Greece and other Mediterranean territories inhabited by Greeks. It is characterized by its aesthetic idealism, proportionality and balance of the elements and their interest to reflect the genuine expressiveness in the human figure; therefore, they developed a great perfection in the drawing. Athletics, as cultivated by these peoples, artists gave their best models. Simplicity, the rhythm, the clarity and unit dominate all its art forms; thus, the Greeks achieved its greatest achievements in ceramics, sculpture, and architecture.
Greek art begins approximately in the V and IV centuries. It is characterized by to give their works a greater sense of proportionality, for expressing harmony and balance of elements and to reflect a genuine expression of humanism. Greece is a small peninsula located in the southeast of Europe. But in this small country were born the first ideas that shaped western culture, in such a way that our knowledge and ways of thinking are a result of the philosophy, science and the art of the Greeks.
Architecture
In Greek architecture was not used or the arc or the vault. The cornerstone of his monumental works were the columns. The construction system used was the lintels. Highlights in hierarchical order, the temples as principal exponents, then, the theaters, the Acropolis, the Propilea, stadiums, gymnasiums and lectures, the Agoras and the funeral monuments. The different types and forms of columns gave rise to the famous Greek architectural orders: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. The Greeks used preferentially the marble, which breakfasting mechanics carefully; also, used the stone.

Ceramics are the best and most varied expression in decorated and painting of Greek art. This variety gives us a very complete evolution of the culture. With a style and own techniques, is characterized by having varied forms and original. The predominant geometric elements arranged in bands, the shades of the clay, from yellow to gray brown, presents figures in red on a black background or the background red and black figures, predominate animals and human forms.
