In recent years my school has been introducing more technology into the classroom. The helpfulness depends on the class and the skill of the teacher. Some classes are forced to shoehorn online use in and the result in a worse class experience. A few of my older teachers aren’t adept with using a computer and fumble trying to find ways to use technology in their class room. My personal experience is mixed, I support the use of technology, but only when the teachers can add to the learning experience.
My math teacher is opposed to adding technology in her classroom. She will complain about how teachers are “forced” use more technology. Technology can be used to great effectiveness in elementary classrooms. Young children prefer the instant results that technology can give. Video games and apps can keep them interested in learning and paying attention in class. Technology allows students to work together with others no matter where they are. (Singh and Means)
Technology can have a great influence on the classroom experience, but Wabasso needs more than technology. My school needs to teach the instructors how to use it to the best of its ability. Technology by itself won’t make classes better, but it can make a class much better if used properly. Wabasso Public School should focus on making sure teachers know how to use their new resources before buying more tablets and Smart Boards that will be wasted on unskilled teachers.

Essay about Using Technology Into The Classroom Environment

- Even if educators make rash decisions of incorporating technology into the classroom environment does not mean it will always be necessary a poor decision for their students. Anything can be learned to use appropriately for students to benefit and learn from because even if you as an educator do not like the device does not mean the students would not as well. If the technology is used in a positive way rather than just looking at it that it is a negative or a distractor for students rather than some students may need to use those resources so he or she can be more successful in the classroom....   [tags: Learning, Education, Skill, Technology]

Using technology to assist with literacy within the classroom will help prepare the students for the “real world”. Use of technology has changed the way teachers teach because they now have more effective ways of reaching different types of learners. Especially when trying to reach students with specific disabilities that would otherwise not be able to participate without the use of some type of assistive technology....   [tags: education, literacy, douglas]
