Using cell phones while driving is far from safe. There are many people who were injured from using their cell phones while driving. So many people have even died from using their cell phones while driving. Using cell phones while driving should be illegal. Banning cell phones while driving will make the road a much safe place. Using your cell phone while driving can put yourself in danger, other drivers in danger, and also pedestrians in danger. The first thing that I am going to talk about is the type of distractions that can occur while being behind the wheel. There are three types of distractions that can occur while you’re behind the wheel. The three types of distractions are visual, manual, and cognitive. Visual, that is taking your eyes off of the road. Manual, that is taking your hands off of the wheel. Cognitive, that is taking your mind off of driving. The use of cell phones is a huge thing now. People use their phones a lot now in days. It’s so sad now because a lot of people now depend on their cellphones for nearly everything. Unfortunately, many people use their cellphones while they are driving. Because of this, many accidents have occurred due to the use of cell phones while driving. Using your cell phone while driving is a huge distraction. People pay more attention to their cell phones than they pay attention to the road. Using your cell phone while driving should be banned unless it is for emergency purposes. I know that people use their cell phones while driving for really good reasons. For example, accidents get reported to 911, traffic updates occur, etc. If it isn’t for good purposes like this or it isn’t an emergency, you should not use your cell phone while driving. The number of people who have died or... ... middle of paper ... ...ppen everyday because of that ' 'oh so important text ' ' that you just have to reply to. Three accidents have happened right outside my house because texting is so important. Alot of people say that we need to mind our own business and it 's none of our business what you do behind the wheel but when you hurt or kill someone it becomes everyones business. And i know what I am saying when I say everything has consequences, EVERYTHING. May not be the first or the second or the third time but sooner or later karma is going to slap you very very hard in the face. If you really want you use your cell phone, just pull over. Doing that will make the road a much safer place. Just think about that before you ever decide to get distracted from using your cell phone while driving. Think about what is more important: your cell phone call, a text message, an email, or your life.
