Many people would think the importance of English language today. It is the common language in the cyber space, in the international science, politics, business and entertainment. English is indispensable for every one of us. But for most Malaysians, English is not an everyday language. Raja Zarith Sofia binti Sultan Idris Shah indicate a declining in the standard of English is a serious problem in Malaysia. A variety of reasons show the Malaysian English standard decline that included: using the Malay language qualification into the government at all levels of service, using the Malay language as an element for secondary education, government departments should making Malay language compulsory, the Malay language requirement anyone eager to scholarship from public funds and teacher training courses and examinations is compulsory using Malay language. This entire factor affects the English level decline. Proficient in English is very important in today's world, Malaysians should arrest decline urgently if wants to remain competitive. However, English is an important part of the language knowledge and global competition now, should arrest the decline has never been so urgent. There is one word saying that “There is a belief, a common language to create a common culture, so the creation of a new national identity.” The reason given for studying English was economic. Abdul Rahman Ya’akub announced in 1970, all English medium schools would be converted into Malay medium schools. Fast forward to 2012, the Malaysian government is seriously arrest once the decline in the Standard English, with good reason. We have returned to the in situ; acknowledge that we must do it purely for economic reasons, the same reason. Everyone will face different people in different countries and different languages, at this time we need to use English language to communicate. Nowadays, Malaysian English standard was still falling, this represents we still lagging behind. As a Malaysian We should have the responsibility to make our country no longer falling. So, we should no matter what method should be to increase the level of English. As a part of Malaysian everyone need to increase our country economy that is to learn English as well. Don’t let it declining.
