Urban sprawl or urbanization is the migration of people from big towns or cities to more rural areas . One of the main reasons why people do this because of over crowded places or want to move to different areas to live . Urban sprawl is not a new concept even back to the ancient cities , people would move out into more rural areas in the country instead of living in over populated towns . But when people moved out into the country they wanted to build more houses and build roads , so they had to build over certain places and dig up resources to build . this created a shift in some areas of urbanization making some animals and plants to go extinct . But urban sprawl first saw major accumulation in the 1920’s , but since then the population has quadrupled in size since then according to experts . The constant desire for land was a constant issue for countries even for small countries as small as England , which it’s countryside will be completely eaten up by the year 2100 . But with the negative impacts let’s talk about the positive impact that urbanization can bring , first and foremost it can bring bigger and larger cities . With the constant building and amount of resources being used , new companies will emerge creating new jobs and fundamentally changing the economy . Even though the US will be making any large-scale cites right now , urbanization creates more problems than benefits . Urbanization is happening and it’s doing so at an alarming rate , urbanization is destroying the environment and with the growing population it’s getting more and more difficult for nature to grow back . In order to limit urbanization we must first , limit the number of square feet for each city
