Research proves that the most intense thought possessed by humans is thinking about others. Humans also have a desire to be unique which is even more a part of our nature than thinking about others. According to Baumeister (2013), individuals are designed to associate with each other so that they can gain knowledge and receive help, therefore, our primary reason for existence is socializing (p.154). The desire for uniqueness leads people to experiencing a false uniqueness effect, which is commonly and easily seen among liberals, regarding political issues. Research proves that liberals display a false uniqueness effect on the issue of childhood immunizations and that they display a truly false uniqueness effect with most of issues relevant to society, however, the conservatives and moderates commonly share a false consensus effect within their political parties and do not necessarily agree with one another within their own party. The need to have a special quality that is unique from others, is within all humans. Schumpe and Erb (2015) state that when humans feel that they are too much like others, or not enough like others, that they feel dreadful but if they have some adequate uniqueness then they are more emotionally stable in their lives (p.1). People assume that the majority do not agree with their view, however, there are others who feel as they do. This is common among people because of a desire to be unique, consequently, this causes complications and is known as a false uniqueness
