Underage drinking is a well know thing everywhere, I’m sure any teenage can say that they participated in binge drinking or even got drunk before. Even though it is also a bad trend to start at a young age many kids tend to not care and just join the crowd. By the age of 15, thirty-three percent of teenagers said that they had at least one alcoholic drink. A reason why a 15-year-old would try to drink is peer pressure, they want to fit in or they think that there cooler because they drink now. Once they see their friends drink they feel like they should do it to just like the saying monkey see monkey do, they feel the need to do the same as their friends. That means alcohol alters a person 's perceptions, emotions, movement, vision, and hearing. Eventually, throughout the years the percent of trans drinking would raise, by the age of 18 sixty-six percent of teens would say that they have had at least one drink. A big asset to teens drinking would be that they don 't know the true effects on what could happen if you do drink. Alcohol turns some liver cells into fat and damages others. People often don 't know there they’re over doing it because the liver has no 'feeling ' in it so once they notice it 's already too late. Heavy drinking scars the liver and causes permanent damage which can cause death. Lastly, it also can have an effect on the growth of a teenager while there in the puberty stage. Drinking alcohol during this period of rapid growth and development may upset the critical hormonal balance necessary for normal development of organs, muscles, and bones. As a maturing male adolescent, you need plenty of testosterone but studies show that for the male children and teenager it lowered their testosterone
