It was the summer of 1947 when Kenneth Arnold, a business man and armature pilot witnessed the first of what would become the many thousands of UFO sightings. Mr. Arnold’s flight plans where to fly from Chehalis Washington, making his way home in Yakima Washington. During his flight Arnold got word via radio that a plane carrying U.S. troops could not be located, after offering his help Arnold changed course and started searching an area around Mt. Rainer. The weather conditions that day at around 3:00 PM where pleasant, with complete visibility. After failing to spot any signs of the missing air craft Arnold returned to his pervious heading. Upon the return of his course Arnold noticed something very unusual; high in the altitude above him in a formation like pattern flew 9 unexplained “Saucer Shaped” objects. These craft gave off a brilliant light and where about the size of a large airliner. Observing these odd craft Arnold made an educated guess that they were flying around the speed of 1200 Mph, that was faster than any aircraft of that time period. After observing the objects for some time they faded into the distance and Arnold landed his plane to tell the world what he had witnessed. After that day more sightings were reported in the same general area. All of which were similar to Arnold’s encounter, sparking an investigation by the United States Air Force, which was “officially classified” as a “mirage”. This would be the first of many government reports that some believe are cover ups. Which leads me to my next case and probably the most famous of its kind in the history of Ufology? Roswell New Mexico the “Holy Grail” for the ones of us who believe in UFO's and life beyond our planet, and in my option def... ... middle of paper ... ...at you’re only doing it for the attention. Still others are so closed minded and skeptical that they don’t even look at the facts such as photos, video and first-hand accounts. For more than 50 years we have been dealing with these unknown phenomena. If you are the skeptical type I urge you to research the evidence and decide for yourself. There is truly something intelligent out there making contact with this planet and we must demand the real truth about it. Instead of covering it up and hoping it will go away why not allow the people of the world to decide for themselves? We as a modern society are capable of handling such life altering evidence. We are not blind to the fact that there is something happening in our skies. Hopefully in the near future we will know more about these phenomena known as the UFO. ... For, even if one would see an alien or even just a spacecraft, it would not have enough credence to prove beyond another person’s quizzical denial. Hence, bringing me back to my original issue, if someone really did see this phenomena where are these other people? I believe we will never know the answer regarding extraterrestrials until there is a national revelation of some sort. Once again, the skeptics are left waiting for an answer.
What really happened over the summer in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico? People have debated this topic countless times. Despite all of the deviations of what happened, there is a general timeline. Sometime during the months of June and July 1947, an aircraft landed in Mac Brazel’s ranch; Brazel proceeded to tell Sheriff George Wilcox. He sent a member of the Roswell Army Air Field base to look at the wreckage on Brazel’s ranch. This person took some of the debris back to the base for further inspection. On July 8, 1947, the newspapers published stories about how someone found a flying saucer in New Mexico. However, the government told the newspapers to report that it was merely a weather balloon that had crashed. After that, everybody simply accepted the story and dropped the topic. Throughout that story, many pieces of evidence went untold to the media. There were numerous pictures that went unreleased. Many affidavits went unnoticed and nobody paid attention to inconsistencies in the government’s justifications. Because of explicative photographs, several eyewitness accounts, and contradictory government explanations, there is extensive proof that the government concealed an alien landing in Roswell, New Mexico.

The V-shaped object that appeared in the sky that night over Phoenix has left every UFO fanatic and scientist in awe. There is no real explanation for the bright lights that took the shape of a huge boomerang from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Many have tried to explain what no one can, but for every scenario, there is an equally crazy explanation that proves it to be false. Around June 25th, 1947 a pilot, Ken Arnold had reported strange objects in the sky while flying near Mt. Rainer, Washington. He stated that they flew like "saucers being skipped over water." This was where the term "Flying Saucers" derived from. The Roswell UFO Incident all started on the evening of July 3, 1947, Dan Wilmot and his wife were sitting on their front porch when they saw the distinct shape of a saucer flying through the sky. A few days prior to this sighting, military radar in the area was tracking an Unidentified Flying Object for four days. On Independence Day the radar indicated that the object had gone down about 30-40 miles Northwest of Roswell. A few days after the actual sighting from the Wilmot's, W.W. Brazel, the Foreman of the J.B. Foster Ranch went to check on his sheep after some intense thunderstorms the night prior. He happened to discover a very large amount of debris of an unknown metallic substance scattered throughout the field. Undoubtedly, with over 10 000 cases, the sheer amount of reported UFO sightings and abductions is startling. In July 1947, an airborne object crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Rancher Mac Braezel examined the debris which appeared to be mostly metallic and plastic scraps. However, it was damaged beyond identification of its origin. He brought some of the material to his neighbours who attempted burning it, cutting it, and yet, it would not be damaged. They also tried bending it, too which it would dent momentarily before peculiarly molding back to its original form. Mac hurriedly contacted the local sheriff, who then, in disbelief, contacted two military officers to the debris field, also in dubiety, they brought some of the material they had found to the Roswell Army Air Base.
