A Bucket List.
Three Things I Want to do Before I Die.
A bucket list. I’m sure everyone knows what this list is composed of, but if not, it’s a list that is composed of the things one wants to do before they die. There’s all sorts of crazy things on this list, and there are also a bunch of simple things on this list. For example, someone may have on their list, sky diving and also have, owning a house. The extreme things on these list seem to have a fear factor, everyone wants to do something that they’re deathly afraid of and gets their adrenaline running. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, everyone dies and making the most of it is in my opinion the best thing to do. Three things I want to accomplish before I die are: be successful,

Although, kids can be awful sometimes, I think it’d be nice to have kids of my own, or better yet have a child of my own. I think that being able to raise my own child would be nice, but I do not want one until I’m able to live on my own and able to support another human being. I do not want more than two though, two is the maximum and even then I think it’d be too much, many people think that the child may get lonely. But, honestly they’ll have plenty of cousins to play with. Raising a child would be a great thing to do, but I need to go out and experience the world before I even think about having …show more content…
I do not know exactly everything that I want on this bucket list, but I do know three of the things on this list. Being successful, is at the top of the list, I’d like to be an independent adult, and not turn out, to be thirty and still living in my parents basement. I’d like to be able to see the world, learn about different cultures, the world is so big, it’d be nice to know more about it. Lastly, I’d like to be able to raise a child, but before I do that I’d like to get myself settled down. Many people don’t know what they have on their bucket list and that’s okay, because death is a very touchy subject, but knowing what you want to accomplish in advance feels better when you’re able to check it
becoming old. His wish is for all students to have some release from their grip of their future. He
The number one objective that humans want to achieve before they are on their death bed is having a good life. They do not want to ponder the fact of accomplishing their goal before they perish into their state of death. To fulfill your life and achieve joy, one must have a philosophy they need to follow during their lifetime.
There are many things that I hope to accomplish and do when I get older. I want to improve and accomplish different things for myself in my career that I choose, in my material goals, and spiritually. I'm looking at the year of 2009, I will be out of college and be on my feet, hopefully. I have high expectations for myself and hope to accomplish as many of my dreams and goals as I can throughout my life.
... for some people worth it because having your own child brings a certain type of happiness.
...e are now able to have children. Human beings have a deep and basic need to procreate, and if we can help to fulfill this need I believe that we should, we should just make sure we do so with the possible child’s best interest and future in mind as well.
...I hope I can be half the parent they are when I have children of my own. I really don't relate to the other two methods probably because I was not raised in those ways. Everyone has there own reasoning and I respect that. Parenting is a big deal. If one were not to be given any guidance or love they would be lost in this world.
I don’t know what I plan on doing with my life, so I guess I just want my legacy to be that I’m a good person, and that I helped people. I want to be remembered as someone who accomplished things, or even just something. I want to be someone with a life worth living.
My main goal in life is to be successful. Not famous, but wealthy enough to buy what I want, when I want it. There are no excuses in life that will come in the way of you and your dreams or even better, waking up happy. People are always going to be
As a young girl at 14, I used to reminisce about the future, how badly I wanted to grow up, to drive, to be popular in high school, go to college and land an amazing job, have a huge home, nice cars, and an extremely handsome husband. The older I got, the more I began to realize all of the things I once desired for were not what I truly wanted. I began to realize the value of happiness, adventure, and creating memories rather than the value of temporary popularity, material items, and physical appearances. What I realized was that when one is lying on their deathbed, because the only thing guaranteed in life is death, they will not think, “oh what a lovely car I drove” but rather, “I remember when I went on my first road trip with my friends.” As mentioned in “Tuesdays With Morrie” by Mitch Albom, Morrie emphasizes the idea, “once you learn how to die, you learn how to live,” meaning, remembering that one day we will all depart from this world, one will realize what it truly means to live. Another pointer that can essentially alter one’s vision of living life: to live simply, as discussed in “Where I Lived and What I Live For” by David Henry Thoreau. Although thinking about death is a harsh reality on a young teenager, it is rather helpful to wrap our heads around it at a young age. Why? because as one grows older, they will see more death. Living a simple life may seem boring to a young teenager, but as one grows older and their schedules become bustled with work, and responsibilities, they will wish that they could step back, and choose a simple lifestyle.
The movie being reviewed is titled; The Bucket List. This movie, directed by Justin Zackham was 97 minutes long and was released in the theaters at the end of 2007. I chose this movie because I thought it would be suitable since we have been learning about the elderly and the different ways they fit into and impact society. I thought it would be interesting to see if the items they have on their bucket list are the same items that someone my age would have on theirs. Morgan Freeman has always been one of my favorite actors and Jack Nicholson always does a wonderful job in any role he plays. Nicholson and Freeman together made wonderful chemistry in this movie. In this movie a few of the analytical tools used in class were seen. The tools include;
The first thing on my list is to graduate high school. I will accomplish this by working hard in my classes to achieve good grades. Being my senior year, I plan to really concentrate on my school work to help get a better grade point average (G.P.A). By earning a higher G.P.A. it can help lead to scholarships,...
Death is inevitable, and the prospect of death is unwavering, however, it is part of reality, and our greatest comfort is knowing that death is part of ongoing life. In the critically acclaimed film, The Bucket List, Edward Cole played by Jack Nicholson and Carter played by Morgan Freeman teach us to live life to the fullest even if our days on earth are limited. The Bucket List is about the adventure of two men who share the same hospital room, however, soon discover that they have less than a year to live. Even as complete strangers the two men find that they share two things in common: the need to come to terms with who they are and what they have accomplished in their lives, and an unfaltering passion to finish a list of things they want
Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, said “By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.” Hansen, also known as America’s Ambassador of Possibility, has achieved his lifelong goals, such as creating a foundation in his name dedicated to helping young people to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into realities. From a young age, Hansen realized his goals and that allowed him to be able to achieve them. By creating a bucket list, I have created a path for my life that I will begin to take the steps to achieve. The few things on my bucket list that I most want to achieve are to travel the world, sky dive, and do something nice for a stranger.
I’ve always adored young children and although that is far into my future, I’d love to be such an important role in someone’s life like a mother is. I think my reason for this is my own mother, all she ever desired when she got older was to become a mother. Maybe if go down this path I might find my calling, like she did. While I pursue this, I plan on keeping myself, and this family I will one day have, firm in our faith. I hope that one day if this were to come true, I could bring my future children to the same church and school that I was raised in, and teach them to adore it. To me, this would be a successful life; after all what’s purpose of life without God and furthering the faith of others? If I lead this life, I will be extremely content and happy; not only that but I’ll be
