Tupac Shakur

“Tupac Shakur” is the example of a coming-of-age narrative. In this narrative, the protagonist goes through a lot of phases, situations, and conflicts. However, he is able to get through these things. “June 16, 1971 is when Tupac Shakur was born in East Harlem, NY.“ The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock and Roll ( Simon and Schuster 2001).
Tupac’s mother, father, and sister were big impacts on his life. His mom was a highschool dropout and got impregnated by Tupac’s father, Billy Garland. It states “ Tupac’s mother, Afeni Faye Williams, was a high school dropout. She became pregnant with her son in 1970 while on a bail after being charged to set off a war.” (biography.com/people). Showing that his mom was a big impact, also guiding him to go into the same path.Billy, Pac’s father only stayed in his life up until he was five. In October, 1933, another another incident where Tupac shot two cops after a situation. According to this quote “ Tupac shot and wounded two off-duty cops in Atlanta, one in the abdomen and one in the buttocks”. Last important event in Tupac's life was when he was being sentenced in jail for being accused for sexually abusing a female fan. The story states “ Years later, in February 1955, Tupac was sentenced to between one and a half and four and a half years in jail for sexually abusing a female fan.The case was related to an event that had took place in Tupac’s hotel room in the “ New York Parker Meridien Hotel” in 1943.
