Although we didn’t encounter any conflicts due to different personality, culture or background, they all aroused from different matters. For instance as this was the second time we were all working together as a group with a new member. We had t...
Home health care agencies offer a wide range of healthcare services that can be given in the patient’s home. Independent Living Inc provides full-service, non-medical, in-home care to elderly patients. A full-service agency manages all the care needs and solves any issues regarding the entire care experience. A non-medical, in-home care agency provides services that are not considered skilled services or medical care. Direct Support Professionals are hired to care for the patient in their home. Their services include personal care, companionship, supervision, and assist with different tasks within the home. These tasks consist of meal preparation, medication administration, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, shopping, and transportation. They are also responsible for accompanying the patient to doctor appointments and assisting them with daily activities. There are six specific activities that are referred to as Activities of Daily Living (ADL). These activities are bathing, dressing, transferring (getting into bed, chair, wheelchair, etc.), using the toilet, eating, and

In addition Ariela asked the students to pick out two pieces of information that stand out to them in the text. Using the two pieces of information they picked out student will explain why it is significant to them. The students had about fifteen minutes to look over the text and gather information for the whole class discussion. After the fifteen minutes was over the whole class discussion began. Ariela created a protocol to allow all students to participate. Going around the classroom each student read the piece of information they choose. Occupation is defined as “activites of everyday life, names, organized and given meaning by individuals and a culture” (Association, 2006). This article also discusses the historical aspects of occupational therapy. Occupational therapy was founded by many different professionals with different backgrounds, that came together to share the same idea about how occupational therapy should be and the importance of activites for a person. This article also talks about different types of services that occupational therapy offers. Occupational therapists and assistances can work in many different settings. With the variety of settings a therapist and assistance can work in, the services that are offered there are different. Half-way houses subsidize and contribute a lot to society. They help ex-criminals reintegrate back into functioning members of society. Half-way houses take this responsibility and take care of these ex-convicts by giving them help and attention. They also help drug addicts obtain support to get over their addiction, as well as alcoholics. They have to follow certain actions that necessitate for them to stay in the halfway house. I do agree on how halfway houses should only be for prisoners with minor offenses, however. There should be certain protocols in order for an ex-con or even a drug addict that want to be in a halfway house, such as wanting to get cleaned.
