The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer

In the Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, the friendship between the two friends Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer is strong enough to get them through some life changing adventures. The story takes place in the mid 1800's, in a Missouri town called St. Petersburg. Later on however, instead of just blabbing about what happened and breaking the pact, they discuss it together and decide they need to help Muff Potter, no matter what. Their friendship gives them the ability to then go to court and say exactly what happened, and that?s when Injun Joe escapes and Muff Potter is freed.

At this time Tom and Huck decide not to follow, but spy on Injun Joe during the day and at night, hoping they can find the treasure location. After a while, one night, Huck sees Injun Joe and his partner leaving town with a box. He follows them and overhears their plans to attack the Widow Douglas, a resident of the town. Huck gets help and the murderer and his companion escape leave through a barrage of bullets. Widow Douglass is okay, and from then on decides …show more content…

Also, Injun Joe was following them in the cave and became trapped inside too. When Tom finally finds a way to escape, through a little hole in the side of a wall deep in the cave, he finds himself miles away from the entrance, but soon gets back to town. When he meets up with Huck, he explains how he got out and takes Huck to show him where he escaped with Becky, and that spot was where they saw an ?X? for the treasure. They end up digging under a rock and coming out with a couple guns and 12,000 dollars in gold. Instead of just taking the money for himself, Tom decides to share the money with Huck and they each become $6,000 richer. However, Huck?s money is put under protection of Widow Douglass, his new
