Holocaust survivor, Anne Frank, once said, “If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of being doomed, will be held up as an example” (“Auschwitz concentration camps”“). Throughout the Holocaust millions died. The Jews were put into ghetto’s before being boarded to concentration camps. Concentration camps were cruel and killed large sums of people. The ghettos were cramped and didn’t range very far, and possessed Horribly living conditions. The Holocaust was a gigantic slaughter fest, life was terrible for Jews during the holocaust.
During the holocaust, they would be boarded onto the trains where they would soon be delivered to a concentration camp (“Auschwitz concentration camps”). The victims were ushered into an anti-room, where they were held to remove all their clothing completely naked. These men, women and children were then ushered into a large room that looked like a big shower room (“Auschwitz concentration camps”). There were fake shower heads on the walls, when the doors shut, a Nazi would pour Zyklon-B pellets into an opening of a window or through a slit in the walls which would eventually turn into poison once it touched air. It would be very lethal (“Auschwitz concentration camps”). The people who were seated to the left were usually going to be killed, the entire mass murders system depended on keeping this secret from its victims. If the victims had known they were headed to their death it wouldn’t be good (“Auschwitz concentration camps”). Meanwhile on the ramp, Nazi doctors would research among the new arrivals for anyone that they might want to experiment on (“Auschwitz concentration camps”). ...opted or homeless. This was just sickening time for Jews in generally, they were put through so many trials and it was ridiculously hard for them to see their own families get killed. It was even worse because they were so financially broken and unstable it was grueling. This could very easily go down as one of the worlds most tragic memories. This important lesson be had when learning as frame was not to repeat the passes. History is known to repeat itself. As a matter of fact, there lies, in the boston harbor, a memorial statue of limbs extending from a ball of fire that reads, “For those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it”. This is odd and reminds us to be supportive of those different from us in culture, mindset and beliefs so that we do not fall victim to repeating the past.

The Holocaust will forever be known as one of the largest genocides ever recorded in history. 11 million perished, and 6 million of the departed were Jewish. The concentration camps where the prisoners were held were considered to be the closest one could get to a living hell. There is no surprise that the men, women, and children there were afraid. One is considered blessed to have a family member alongside oneself.
During World War II there was event that lead to deaths of millions of innocent people. This even is known as the holocaust, millions of innocent people were killed violently, there was mass murders, rapes and horrific tortures. The question I will attempt to answer in the course of this paper is if the holocaust was a unique event in history. In my opinion there were other mass murders that people committed justified by the feeling of being threatened. But I don 't believe that any were as horrific and inhumane as Germany’s genocide of the Jewish people.
The Holocaust was a bloody, terrifying event that unfortunately happened during the world’s most bloody war, World War II. The end result of a portion of deaths of the Holocaust resulted in astounding number of about 6,000,000 Jewish people dead. However, there were about 13,684,900 other lives that were taken during this “cleansing period” that Adolf Hitler once said. Those lives included civilians in surrounding countries, resisters against the Nazi nation, opposing religious members, and many more. Although, over 6,000,000 Jewish people died, many others died who are just as memorable.

The Holocaust will forever remain one of the most horrific events in history and it is important to remember that there were many different endings for the many different Jews affected. It should not have mattered where the Jews lived, how old they were or the sex they were, none of them should have been persecuted in the first place. Reflecting on the tragic events of the war, all we can do is make sure that these horrific things never happen again.
Mary Margaret Farren was the wife of a successful husband. Among other things, at one point J. Michael Farren served as Deputy White House Counsel under President George W. Bush. Mary’s husband didn’t only exude power in his public life, although that is certainly one thing he was known for prior to January 2010. At home, the Farren household was troubled with fear and intimidation. Mary never thought Michael would go as far as it took to physically assault her. He lived a life about ethics. At first, the abuse was verbal and emotional. “I was careful never to not to trigger it,” Mary said when discussing the “rage” that Michael had (ABC News 2015). People all over the world go through a lot of hardship. Starvation, abuse, wars, bombing raids, genocide. People would suffer over the fallen economy. In Europe and even here in the United States, many people struggled to survive through the Holocaust Era. It’s weary out there. The people who had it the worse were the Polish, Russians, Gypsies, and especially the Holocaust victims; the Jewish Population.
Domestic violence can be described as any form of abuse towards a victim, whether physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, psychological, or economical. The stakeholders in such violence are the abuser(s), the victim(s) and the bystander(s), all of whom are affected in some form or another by the abuse. For further clarity, domestic violence in this discussion refers to situations where the principle stakeholders, i.e. abuser and victim are in a relationship, for example partners, co-workers or friends. Domestic violence affects all stakeholders, not only the victim but the abuser and bystanders, and it can be easily prevented.
Domestic violence and abuse takes place within family-type intimate relationships and forms a pattern of intimidating and controlling behaviors, which overtime escalates (Dennis, T. 2014, p 1). It can also cause physical psychological or sexual harm to these relations as well (Gul & Faiz, 2013). Domestic Violence according to Fairtlough (2006) is “the misuse of power and the exercise of control by one individual over another, generally by men over women, with whom they have been in an intimate relationship. As the EAI team was discussing Molly’s case, one of the ED Residents made a few telephone calls. Molly’s PCP reported that during her last visit about 2 weeks ago, Mollie was alert and able to respond to questions appropriately. He confirmed that Mollie’s daughter and son in law have experienced psychiatric problems, adding that the son in law has expressed anger regarding Mollie’s living arrangements. The home health care agency was contacted. The RN and aide both report they have never met the son in law and have had very limited contact with Mollie’s daughter. The Holocaust, a Greek word meaning sacrifice by fire, was the systematic, genocidal killing of over six million Jews and five million non-jews that was carried by the Nazi regime in its attempt to take complete control of Europe. The damp and moist bunkers coupled with vermin scurrying about led to all sorts of diseases running rampant., Some common diseases included Noma and Typhus (“Josef Mengele: The Cruelest Doctor in the Holocaust,” n.d.). The prisoners at Auschwitz worked for a total of 11-12 hours a day (“Auschwitz: The Camp of Death,” n.d.). Long, tedious role calls took up the rest of the time. The authorities fed the prisoners, 3 meals every day at camp. Prisoners with more demanding tasks received 1,700 calories while prisoners with less demanding work received. 1,300 calories (“Auschwitz Birkenau: Living Conditions, Labor, and Executions,” n.d.). This led to many people starving to death in addition to executions, a very common thing at Auschwitz. These would happen every day. Prisoners got executed by getting hung, shot, or gassed (“Auschwitz Birkenau: Living Conditions, Labor, and Executions,” n.d). For gassing the prisoners, Nazi enforcers would send Jews into large gas chambers. Then, from the outside, soldiers would throw Zyklon B into the chambers (Bohr, Meyer, and Wiegrefe, 2014). On both sides of the walls there were deep ditches running the entire length of the perimeter. Inside, the camps always had an Appellplatz, meaning a roll call square. An Appellplatz was a stand where prisoners would often stand for hours while waiting to get their names called indicating that they were present, many times prisoners would often be executed on the blocks as well. Prisoners of these camps didn’t just die of execution many died from hunger, and disease as well due to the inhumane way they were treated. The estimated number today that died from result from inhuman slave labor, hunger and disease is at least 500,000. In the camp the sick the old and those who couldn’t keep up with the work were selected and then killed with gas, injections, or shot. Others were chose for “Pseudo- scientific experiments” (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2016), which meant they most often lost their life’s. Concentration camps were horrific but the Nazis found a way to top the idea of a concentration camp and that idea was an extermination camp dating from 1941-1945. An extermination camp was a camp constructed with the purpose of mass murdering Jews. A total of 6 extermination camps were established for the genocide of the Jews. Intimate partner abuse and violence is in the family with domestic violence, but it may be a less talked about because I was unaware of this term prior to this assignment. While domestic violence is defined as, gender neutral and encompasses a wide range of abuse within families (Van Wormer, 2013), intimate partner abuse is defined as intentional acts to cause injury in a spouse or partner, or ex-spouse and ex-partner. Also, intimate violence is always accompanied with emotional abuse.
At this time youth is not on any medication. It was reported that Cyanna experience frequent physical and emotional abuse from biological mother towards youth and her siblings. Cyanna also experience frequent transitions during the 18 month period when she was in her mother’s care that resulted in four relocations and schools. Mrs. Hannah reports that Cyanna often present as sad and struggles with managing her anger and appropriately communicating her feelings. Youth express that her anger stems from her relationship with her mother. Cyanna does not speak to biological mother often and she reports that her mother does not understand her which causes conflict in their relationship. Cyanna has a good relationship with her father and stepmother. Mrs. Hannah is supportive of youth and wants her to be more self-confident. At this time Cyanna is open to participating in in-home services. Supportive Therapeutic Services will provide Cyanna with 2 hours of IIC services once a week. IIC services will assist Cyanna with building self-confidence, process past traumatic events, enhance coping skills and communication with her
