TIME MANAGEMENT Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. It is a meta-activity with the goal to maximize the overall benefit of a set of other activities within the boundary condition of a limited amount of time. Time management may be aided by a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects, and goals complying with a due date. Initially, time management referred to just business or work activities, but eventually the term broadened to include personal activities as well. It takes a certain amount of time to do each job. Technically (depending on which radar you are setting up) it should take no more than one minute to get the radar unhooked from the vehicle pulling it. Any longer and you have to make up the time in some way. Time management also takes some tools to utilize. It takes a plan, a schedule. I know that if I have to walk to work that it takes me fifteen minutes to get to work. That means that I have to account for Thirty minutes in order to allow for unexpected things that might arise while headed to work. This extra time allows me to be able to stop and pick something up from the shopette if I have to get something to eat on the go. Of course if I know that then I should leave a little earlier. Time management can be used in a few different ways. It can be used to manage your finances. If you know when something is due why not make a automatic transfer from your bank account to what ever needs to be paid. It can be used to make sure that you are not late for anything. Another way to help is to make sure that you have everything ready the night before. Make sure that your uniform is ready to go for the work day. Make sure that your room is clean enough that you only need to take a short amount of time to get everything up to …show more content…

This could result from procrastination. Say you have a paper due for a class. Procrastination could result in a sub par performance in your writing. Because as you put words on the paper you are not thinking of how your thoughts are turning out in the paper. Procrastination in the preparation could result in poor facts and not enough information to fulfill the requirement. There are also somethings that are beneficial by managing your time wisely if everything is done then you can spend the remainder of the time that you have doing whatever you want to do. This could include being able to go out and party with your friends or just sitting back and watching a movie. Sometimes just relaxing can be a good feeling. You get to do what needs to be done and recover for the next day. However this can only take place with proper time
