The Annoying Public
Different types of people are all around, some can be found as irksome to others. Three types of annoying people exist in the world. The three types of annoying people are people who are new employees at stores, people who walk vicious dogs, and people who do ignore public signs. New people who come to work are very irritating.
The first reason that new employees who work at stores are annoying is because they are not aware of their surrounding of the store. For instance, the employees do not know around the stores so they cannot help us. The employee also cannot point out where things are and it takes much longer. Also, if the employees do not know the building, then they still want to help the customer by taking them around the whole store to get them something. Lastly, in the store, there would be only one new employee for that department, and if the shopper asked them something, they would respond, “Sorry, I Cannot help, I am new” to the buyer. Now the customer has no one to ask, and this is bad service. Clearly, having new store employees at a store is very frustrating. Not only are having new store workers frustrating, but also having people walk violent dogs in public.
Next, walkers with vicious dogs in public are irritating. For example, the dog could be dangerous and harm someone if it is in a bad mood. Another example is that if you ask the owner to move further, the owner refuses. The people would want the dog further from them because they are dangerous and the people’s children might go near the dog and it will bite. Lastly, most owners of the vicious dogs do not control their dogs well, and this might frighten the people and their children. Some owners do not care that much, and that is probably why they walk vicious dogs, to scare off people. Public signs are there to be obeyed and followed by for a better community, but some people do not follow them.
Finally, people who ignore public sign such as no skateboarding and no smoking are very troublesome. First, it is disturbing for the community if the person does not abide by the rules because the sign is there for a reason and it is not pleasurable for the people there.
Nationwide, approximately 50 percent of all children will be bitten by a dog before they reach the age of twelve (DeIorio, “Have a Dog-Bite-Free Summer”). In Marion County, Florida, aggressive and dangerous breads of dogs are a “serious issue” for the community according to Marion County Commissioner Jim Payton (Thompson, “County drops '1 free kill'”). Responsible dog owners seem to be unaware of the problem but area residents who have been victims of these attacks have turned to the Marion County Board of Commissioners for help. The local County Commissioners have been wrestling with this issue since October of 2009 when a widow from Ocklawaha, Patricia McBee, had three of her dogs euthanized after they allegedly killed her neighbor’s cat (Thompson, “County drops ‘1 free kill’”). The need for change moved even faster after a 3-year-old little girl was attacked and killed by a dog that was chained to a tree outside her house in Citra (Lee, “Girl, 3, mauled”).
The poem above speaks volumes about the nature of man’s best friend. Dogs are not inherently created bad, but are rather “a product of its environment”. The same principle applies to the world’s most misunderstood breed of dog. When you hear the phrase “pit bull”, what do you think of? A savage beast, murdering out of cold blood? A menace to society, lurking the streets, just waiting for its next victim? This couldn’t be further from the truth for most pit bulls. These fantasised versions plague the breed, outlawing them in many cities, states, and even some countries entirely. These bans are called Breed Specific Legislation (BSL), and in over 700 American cities these laws are in effect. They are in place to decrease the number of attacks
It does little to address the main problem: irresponsible owners. As animals, dog’s do not have the same moral compass as humans. It is an owner’s job to train, socialize, vaccinate, neuter, license, and provide all necessary living essentials for their pet. Establishing and enforcing leash laws is also important in ensuring the safety of others. Citizens should be educated in knowing dog body language, behaviors that are safe around a dog, and what to when a dog shows hostility. Children not old enough to understand these guidelines should require adult supervision. Taking these steps will help prevent more victims from experiencing the physical and emotional pain related to a
When dogs attack people or other dogs at dog parks, it's because rules aren't very enforced. The dog park's visitors in my town have had numerous encounters with the police. A dog facility would solve this issue with a simple legal form that patrons would sign upon registration at the facility. For example, the form would firmly state "ABC Dog Facility is not liable for any injuries that take place" the same way businesses post a sign in their parking lot about theft or damage. As far controlling attacks between dogs, there would be sections for large, medium, and small
Employees want that from their employers. They want to be recognized for the work they put in and it makes them feel great when someone in the higher ups notices what they have done. Those are the type of employees that will come in and do a great job and will stay there. They will tell their friends and family how great their company is and before you know it, friends and family of that worker are shopping there and trying to get employed there. If you keep your employees happy, they will have a better work performance also. They will do their jobs without someone having to stand over their shoulders telling them what to do. Employee will show up to do their job instead of calling out sick because they simply can’t stand to go in and work in a poor work environment. Employees that know their job don’t need someone standing over them telling them what to do. I do agree with Tracy Mullins statement in her article Hiring the Very Best stating “While I think retailers should be hiring the best people possible, and treating them well, it may not always be best to leave them alone”. The work load cannot be placed all on one person and you can still hire the best people possible to come in and help during busy times of the year. People need and want jobs that they are going to love to do in order to be satisfied and remain loyal to the company that they work for. They will have better job performance and remain loyal while be completely happy and satisfied. Jobs that pay more money is another benefit for the employee and that is what they search for too. Employees want to be compensated for their skills. They want to work with an organization that provides good health insurance as well as a good retirement plan. A company that knows how to treat their employees as good as their customers will keep these employees and they will remain loyal to
Just the sight of a pit bull instills apprehension and even fear in some people, who believe the dog may attack them for no reason and not let go. Many communities have placed this ostracized breed under severe restrictions; some municipalities have implemented bans outlawing ownership of the breed. Today’s society regards the pit bull as the most vicious and unpredictable of all dog breeds, whereas admirers of the pit bull believe this misconception stems from irresponsible owners and the inflammatory and negative publicity concerning this breed.
Another possible reason for these types of manners could merely just be malice. While it would be nice to believe that all people have good in themselves, seeing how some people treat those who work in retail leaves a gap in that argument.
What do you think of when I say the word pitbull? Do you picture a cute happy dog, wagging its tail happy to see you? Or do you see a mad dog, foaming mouth lunging at small child? If you are a owner of a pitbull then you probably see the happy cute dog. But if you don't own one then chances are you see pitbulls as mean dogs who are a threat to society. The media has painted a picture in our heads that it's in a pitbulls blood to be aggressive. Due to this false accusation, certain cities have banned breeds labeled as “aggressive”. If someone is caught owning a banned breed, the dog is usually euthanized. This is known as Breed Specific Laws or otherwise known as BSL.
... tendencies. For instance in Trevino and Shuit’s “Mauling Death of Boy Spurs Warning,” owners knowingly purchase an aggressive pit bull ironically named “Payaso.” Like most dog owners, Payaso’s owners acquired him for “protection.” Without proper training and understanding of dog behavior, they mistakenly assumed his excitement to be cute rather than “dangerous.” Payaso’s owner paid for that mistake when he attacked and killed their toddler, “Fily.” Though many ideas to prevent future attacks are put forth, they are still just ideas. With the virtually very little money and support, its nearly impossible to turn prospective solutions into reality.
For owning a dog that wasn’t registered or not obeying with the rules once it is registered by keeping it on a leash and muzzled when in public as well as in a car resulted in the dog being destroyed. There were no other options that were available to the courts. The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 is the greatest proof that the principles of democracy and justice have been unashamedly ignored. Parents and children were left in tears with their dogs being taken away from them for months and kept in kennels in secret locations.
“Mom! Mom! The dogs got Cody. The dogs got Cody” (Vancouver Sun, 2007). Just a few days after Christmas in 2004, these are the cries that awoke Sheri Fontaine. Fontaine raced from her bed into the living room to find her three-year old son, Cody Fontaine, savaged by the dogs that were staying temporarily in her house. Tragically, young Cody did not survive the attack. A young life taken, a mother’s life ruined. Sadly, this story is not as uncommon as one of violence against people, they exhibit highly stubborn characteristics that make them difficult to control, and such bans have proven to be extremely effective.
This takes a lot of personal recognition from the employees to make sure no bad mood from an employee is being shown to a customer.
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based in love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns it, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can make them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day. Dog parks are a great place to take the dogs because it provides a space where they do not have to be with leash every time, while they can interact with other animals of their specie in a pet-friendly environment. Every city in the country should have at least one of these places, in order to help their inhabitants with their pets and because it is a good part of the life in community.
the dog has been around for many years they are careing loving animals but they also have a darkside. Dogs have been considered mans best friend for many many years; but do they really fit in the category as mans friend. DOgs have been known to turn on there owners and cause chaos throughout homes even neighborhoods. should they really be let in our homes and if so haow close can we really get to the vicious creatures?
Stray animals are dangerous reason being is children or elderly people can be bit while walking or playing around at parks. I live in Mercedes and at one point when I was walking from stars to the high school, and stray dog for no reason started growing at me and my instinct was to run until I got the a building. This can happen to anyone, they can be attacked trying to touch a stray or just simply walking by, or even worse a child can catch a disease. Also owners with their pets are also getting attacked by stray animals because they strays tend to be over protective of their territory, or they just want to fight with the pet of the owner.
