One reason I really think he’s an extraordinary author is he incorporated some of the world’s great issues and put in them in a children’s story book. For example in one of his famous books the “Lorax” recognizes the take on environmentalism and how humans are destroying nature. He was a genius in story telling.

One of the things he liked to do when he was younger was go to the zoo. At the zoo he would bring his sketchpad and draw pictures of the animals. Dr. Seuss said “I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember”. (Pg.16 Carin T. Ford) Later on life some of his pictures got published in magazines. (Dr. Seuss: Best Loved Author pg.14-16)
