This can set off a driver and induce road rage and now there are multiple dangerous drivers on the road. If you text and drive your nit just a hazard at lights, texters swerve and cause accidents because their focus is not driving. It has been common knowledge ever since I have started driving that nobody should text and drive, but non-the less I see it every day when I am out on the road. ...Many think this bill will not solve much in driver safety. I personally believe that there is more to be done than letting an officer get ahold of your recent phone activity to keep people safe. The most common solution that was discussed was to advance the phone adaptivity to cars. Everyone is looking forward to the day when you can fall asleep in your self-driving car but we are just not there yet. Having a better voice to text system in the car would make it easier to answer without taking your eyes off the road. Having a system to where you can answer the call from the steering wheel would provide a better way to talk and drive. People need their cellphones and making it easier to use them in the car is the best way to fix the issue of distracted driving. Of course, it is not the ideal way to fix the problem but in today’s society it is the best answer we have.
