Recommended: Technology and negative effects on society

We have become a society that cannot survive without technology. Technology has a negative effect on society because it separates us from reality. Technology affects us because we cannot let things such as our laptop, phone, game systems, and iPod out of reach. Three major examples of technology negatively affecting us are cell phones, laptops, and game systems because it distracts us and makes us less productive. We are constantly glued to our phones looking for the latest trends. A cell phone is our biggest enemy. They are negative because it is a huge distraction. A cell phone does not stop ringing because no matter where we are it’s constantly ringing. Either our parents or friends are always trying to reach us. One time I tried to turn off my phone all day. I thought I would be fine without a phone, but all the sudden I couldn 't wait longer because I kept thinking what …show more content…

First, it causes pain on your neck. If you are sitting the couch or the table, and not doing anything that may cause you pain because your muscles are very exhausted and need to be rested. In addition, a neck may start cramping, which causes pain. In certain extreme cases, can lead to disc displacement and this may also happen with shoulder cramps. Once you stay on your laptop you are not actually exercising your fingers, and they may start twitching and swelling. Since our fingers are not in a comfortable place it can cause more pain in all fingers and even swellings in them. It may affect your health because if the laptop starts heating up then that affects your sperm production, which may lead to infertility. Laptops may cause cancer. It could lead to skin damage which eventually turns into skin cancer. If you are laying down, and you are on the laptop looking for research, listening to music, or watching the videos all night.
