As of this year, there are currently 17 billion devices that are connected or related to the internet and the use of the internet, but only a small percentage is used for educational purposes. Over the years, education has changed because of news laws and inventions. Some people may say that education should stay traditional so students will learn what other students have learned in the past years. If education stays the soome, students will be so clueless when they go out into the real world because the real world is constantly changing. Svokos states “This product lets a teacher save his or her notes and seed them to students, as well as to show instructive videos without having to set up another device and projection screen” (Svokos). Instead of writing everything on a whiteboard, the SMART Board projects everything on its interactive screen. The SMART Board also has 4 different colored stylists instead of wasting markers. Kids would love to be able to write on the board because it is basically a big touchscreen. Those SMART Boards will take over the traditional whiteboard. Exams will have to change to meet with the new standards. According to Svokos, “Exams associates with the Common Core State Standards are now being administered on computers and tablets in 29 states and the District of Columbia, though the rollout process hasn 't been without its faults” (Svokos). There will be no paper exams anymore. It will all be on some type of technology. Being on technology all the time can hurt the eyes. Pretty soon everyone will need glasses. “American Education History Timeline” states, “2009 - quest to Learn (Q2L), the first school to teach primarily through game-based learning, opens in September in New York City with a class of sixth graders. There are plans to add a grade each years until the school serves in grades six through twelve” (“American”). Students learns better by using games to help them. Games are easier to memorise because kids use them to have fun.
