Waking up every day a person is given so many choices of how to complete so many simple task. With technology in their hands people are given the chance to think and use their brains to make those choices instead they are being influenced by whatever technology they have in their grasp at the time. Technology is supposed to provide an extra help and give a reference for people to refer to when they need in other words insist a person with life choices. In so many ways Technology has the potential to make people become lazier and also the possibility to help people become more effective in their daily lives. With technology so overwhelming available everywhere, it has become harder to use it effectively and less. With that being said, Nicholas Carr appeals to the reader’s sense of guilt when he says “Technology could be more than likely the cause of obesity and children becoming lazier”. (Carr 2012) Technology has opened up so many great doors for new advancements for daily life which so say makes them smarter in so many great ways but with those advancements comes a major problems one is that society has become very lazy.
In many ways technology is advancing, it’s not technology’s fault that society is so reliant upon it. Bradley, Erica. Stated in her article "Technology Is Making Us Lazy."2009.” that technology devices are reducing physical labor (Bradley, 2006). This has become a major problem for our society because technology advancements are making Americans both physically and mentally lazy.

... only making it worse for themselves; they are becoming less capable of spelling and reading because they rely so much on their computers and phones to do it for them. Going back to my example with the parents given the children I-pads and smart phones to comfort them in which they have become so independent on their personal technology that the children are not really learning anything at all. I don’t know if there is a real solution to this problem. We could try to limit our time spent on the computer on Facebook or on our phones texting or emailing and use technology effectively but this will only work for a little while. Working together to make sure that people are aware there are other ways to receive and get information besides technology s will help solve the problem of the laziness and keep the society smarter along with the smarter technology.
